Hopefully not leading to a gazillion Elgay and 190 D porkers.

Was my original thought, until i thought, hold on both the F4U-C and D can carry ord.
So why omit the F4U-C from the remodel?
Big difference is MG v cannons.

Thats why I have politly asked for some clarification on the "perked ordnance system".

[edit] from the new patch readme -

"Revised the 3D shapes of the F4U's. The F4U-1C was excluded from the revision as it will eventually be dropped as a separate plane when a perk ordnance system is developed.

Assumption would be perk cost for choosing for example the 30mm cannon option on the FW190A8. The 3 cannon option on the LA-7. The readme mentioned the Chog getting perked ord option so I would assume that the -1C would simply become the -1D and then you choose to 'buy' the quad 20mm's.

That's my guess anyways, I'd hope that they're including additional weapons selections as well based on less-common configurations (I'd pay for quad 20mm's on a F6F-5!)

Just going to select what you want on the plane, much like you do now with gun options, but each option up from the base model will cost perks.  Prolly get em back at the end of sortie if you land.

HT talked about it back in this thread.

edit:  linky not working.  I am tarded.

Copy and pasted from other thread I can't linky:

"We will gradually phase out all ordinance in the MA to encourage more air to air combat.  It will be a gradual transition, perhaps involving perking ordinance at first but eventually removed all together.  Another arena will be set up where this type of player can bomb buildings, CVs and other strat targets.  The war will end at scheduled times and everyone in the arena on all sides will be awarded perks for their contribution"

:noid

Or maybe that was laz's idea, I can't remember :D

as the politician would say.. " I prefer to look at it as a bombing tax" :rofl

actually I don't think bombs / normally carried ordinance would be perked... just some of the odd munitions / guns.

Say you want the 75mm gun on a ju87... slight perk to add that gun,
maybe a 110 with the cannons that fired directly upward - perked...
or you want to up a C-hog...slight perk on the D version giving it the cannon load-out.
maybe you have a flakpanzer for free, but you can get the wirblewind for a slight perks

I would think it would be based on situations like that.
