On 24.11 14:36 UTC in one of the LWAs (unfortunatly i remember neither which arena nor which terrain) I tried to take an enemy base. Even though the drop had seemed allright and no enemy took shots at the troops, the base didnt take. At the point in the game, i didnt think it too strange (a million things can happen to make troops not take) - reviewing the film though, i noticed something weird.
As requested by a fellow Knight, i had upped a C47 with troops to take a Bish VBase (V61 i think, i might have taken off A27, not sure). I made a drop close to base. All looked good in game (10 Knight troops hanging in their chute, all directly over the base). I couldnt watch them much further, since i had to bait a La that was inbound away from the troops drawing fire (successfully) on me. Even though all seemed perfect, troops didnt take.
Reviewing the film, this is what i saw:
The troops i dropped are clearly red and marked as Bishop. They all seemed to have survived the drop and walked towards same spot on the VBase (I assume the new location of the map room?).
Skuzzy, if need be, i still have the film of this.
Also, i remember a similar occurance a few weeks back where i was involved in a base take in the EWA with a few others. Three people dropped troops never taking the base even though all seemed clear (M3 back then). Unfortunatly i never reviewed film of those, so i dont know if the same "bug" was there too.
PS: Im not sure of I had switched country that night, but certainly not 2 hours prior to the incident. It is possible though i switched country from Bish to Knight after logging in that night.
