How is each plane's ENY determined?

For instance: Nits outnumber Rooks 78 to 38, bish somewhere in between,,,I see a 109... well it CANT be a K4...(heh heh) ...was. Low jug suffers horribly from K4...(perhaps not in someone else's hands.)

K4--one of fastest, most effective fighters in AH...is a 20---P51d is a 8....P47N is a ...5 (like LA7)?

On what basis are these numbers applied? N carries a lil more ord than 51, but isnt used nearly as much...isnt as fast as 51..DANG sure isnt used as much as LA7....

At the point when one country has half of the people in one arena, it doesn't really matter what they're flying, IMO. I'd really like to see something happen to improve the situation.

ya tonight was way lopsided with rooks having 100, bish and knights with roughly 50 or less.  in the other lw arena it was the knights and bish outnumbering the rooks significantly.  i don't need numbers to be exactly even, but it was a bit much.

I don't know about the fighters but I would asume they go along similar principals to the bombers....     Usually B-17 is the first to be cut off now if you look at it   B-24 has similar guns packs more bombs and faster but is much weaker in the frame than a 17...     So I'm guessing that ENY takes into acount many aspects of the plane.   Guns, engine/speed, manuverability, durabiulity.  all of these things are things that can be measured in AH I think... So while you may think that that 109 is a great fighter in another pilots hands it is garbage (like me) so the system go's by the stats it is programed for.

And also I think that ENY dosn't take into account where you are flying the plane.... I belive the jug should be high and can be a powerhouse with lots of guns and tons of ammo. Where the tempest is a powerhouse almost any where but has far less ammo and I would guess that the jug is built much more tank like as far as durabuility go's than the Temp.

I think ENY values are based on more factors than the average virtual piolt thinks about.  Though I  could be mistaken..

  Just my thoughts.

Maybe the K-4 is 20 ENY because HT acknowledges that the 30mm is all but useless except for HOs and vulches?

Maybe? Just a thought?

HMMM thats something I hadnt icluded.. Though it would fall under guns...  The german planes do have much crapier balistics than most.

Well I know I CANT hit anything with them, but virtually every 109 ya see is either an F or a K4---and don't tell Killnu it is useless:eek: --- some people fly the thing, and shoot individual 30mm rounds at people close up, like firing a deer rifle from a moving car, and get tons kills

Reaching into the dusty distant crannies of a mediocre memory, I seem to recall that at one point HT said he also looks at the total number of deaths in a particular ride...or maybe it was deaths per sortie....or something like that.

In other words, planes are also weighted by their actual success in the arenas. A kind of real world factor, as opposed to the "on paper" strengths and weaknesses.

What's a P47N? Is that the big schoolbus-looking plane with the square wings? I think I shot one of those down the other night.

It got to a point last night where the best fighter we had available was an A6M. What great fun dogfighting 262's and Tempests in an A6M was.

Figure it like this...1 single ME-109K-4 does not carry enough ord to drop a hangar. It does fight well, but it won't help a steamrolling country as much. The pony and jug, on the other hand, Not only fight, but They also carry enough ord's to enable base captures. Being dual usage is probably the reason for the low eny ratings on those planes(or many of the attack/fighter category rides, as well.)
