aha! found it.

Johnnie Johnson, Wing Leader (1956)

It is fascinating to watch the reactions of the various pilots. They fall into two broad categories; those who are going out to shoot and those who secretly and desperately know they will be shot at, the hunters and the hunted. The majority of the pilots, once they have seen their name on the board, walk out to their Spitfires for a pre-flight check and for a word or two with their ground crews. They tie on their mae-wests, check their maps, study the weather forecast and have a last-minute chat with their leaders or wingmen. These are the hunters.

The hunted, that very small minority (although every squadron usually possessed at least one), turned to their escape kits and made quite sure that they were wearing the tunic with the silk maps sewn into a secret hiding-place; that they had at least one oilskin-covered packet of French francs, and two if possible; that they had a compass and a revolver and sometimes specially made clothes to assist their activities once they were shot down. When they went through these agonized preparations they reminded me of aged countrywomen meticulously checking their shopping- lists before catching the bus for the market town.

READ what Blooz  said.... and try real hard to THINK about it

You will PUNISH him by letting him drift and he will think about how much of a coward he was.

You shoot him in the chute, then he aint got time to think, and he just goes back up and does another dummy thing again.

:t

Yeah and dont post his id, that would be cruel.  What a jerk you are to ask that anyway...  THere is always the chance that Another reason like he out of gas or something  :(

You do realize that you can end your sortie any time after bailing, right?  You don't even need to pop your chute.  It's been a long time since you had to ride one all the way in.  IMO if they're hangin on the silk, they're relaying information (:noid ) and must be dispatched quickly.

In the future, please pay attention to posts like these......................

If someone bails just because they were stupid enough to get their arse in a bad situation, can you, or should you, turn the cute into a sieve, or let him keep it in one piece to fashion himself a nice flying dress.

I would stamp on his knackers because he don't need um.

whenever i see a chute, i ask if anyone has dibs on it.  if no one replies, i shoot it.  i don't think i've ever let someone onto my six shooting chutes.  of course even if i did i still wouldn't care, it's just a game, i get a new plane and i'm sure i'll die sometime anyway.
