Color and Sex are irrelevant to me unless they use either in their campaign.

It should  be about what you stand for and what you are going to do for/to the United States.

If you are looking at Sex and Color to decide how to vote then you shouldn't be voting.

Regardless of anything Obama says, his voting record is 100% liberal, and he took 26 freebie jet rides from lobbyists in his FIRST year--Hillary has been sounding centrist of late, but her voting record is agin, 100% liberal

bj... you are pretty much repeating what I say...

Powell is different... he doesn't follow stereotype and he also does not take every opportunity to bring up the fact that he is black... he has little or no black baggage that anyone can see.

liberal... is sterotypcial black and woman behavior.... stereotypical baggage that neither osama or hillary can force themselfs to shed.

It seems to me, that a vast majority of people who make black or female candidates an issue, are...well...white men.

When a woman or black, or any non-white person does something that mainstream America has had an actual or imagined monopoly on, usually the first thought is either "uh-oh, they're trying to take over" or, "how does it feel to be the first ____ , or the only ___?" and then are cornered into making a race or gender biased response.

it is about being a person of color and then secondly being female.  a black, hispanic, asian or female president just will not happen any time soon, maybe not in within the lifespan of my generation.  we may see a man of italian descent as president but I'm doubtful of even that.

redbottom actually has a point about white reporters making a big deal of gender and race but... those white reporters are allmost allways libereral.

As for  the women and blacks themselves... they miss no opportunity to declare their blackness/womanness...  the "black caucus" for instance.

They are black and women first... liberals second... and fellow Americans last.... if at all.

You are correct lazs.  it has infected the rest of the country with the phenomena of the hyphenated American which was started by blacks and immediately embraced by the leftist America haters in the media, a concept that clearly needs to go.

I'd have no problem voting for a Black man provided he were a man first and Black second.
Or in short. A man who just happens to be black

Powell For instance is a good example of exactly that. A man who just happens to be black.

Sharpton and Jessie Jackson for example are the exact opposite.

They are men who place their color above all else
Thus I can never respect them let alone vote for them

In his "I have a Dream" speach Martin Luther King Said
"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character"

Good words. But one should also remember to act that way as well.
Sharpton and Jackson do not

Now I myself respect men. Doesnt matter their color.
I've known good men and I've known pure (insert verbotten N word here) of every color.

I've known Bums (literally) on the street whom I've respected more then CEOs I've known.

Doesnt matter to me the color so long as your a man first.

But as soon as you start spouting off on being this color or that for any extended length of time.
Well Now thats a turnoff and you've lost me.

The Democrats started loosing me the last election when I saw Al Sharpton was the one making the most amount of sense at the DNC.
They only went downhill from there

As for women. Well I will freely admit and am not ashamed to of being a bit chauvinistic. But, the right woman could still possibly garner my vote

Hillary never will. for reasons I've already mentioned.
Plus I absolutely LOATH the woman
Death is no easy answer

Ask those who have been before you
What fate the future holds
It ain't pretty

my girlfriend is of mexican decent... I am of Scottish decent... we would both be very angry if someone tried to call us mexican-american or scottish-american.

When some negro says that the words "african-american" offends him then we are on our way.

well then we are on our way, there are many people of color who are bothered by the concept of the hyphenated American as it only serves to divide.  divisions will always occur naturally we don't need to be encouraging it institutionally.  again the brunt of the responsibility for this divisive attitude rests squarely on the shoulders of the liberal media. ( :D )

Don't feel qualified to comment on Obama since to my limited observation, he hasn't done anything or been anything yet.

Why would anyone even remotely consider voting for such an unknown in terms of experience ?

His accomplishments so far:

1. Voted to raised 428 different taxes/fees in Illinois.
2. Voted to extend the State's Bonding Authority by a whopping 14B.
3. Moved 800M OUT of the Illinois State Highway fund effectively losing 100,000 manufacturing jobs in the process.
4. Aided the advancement of Socialism.
5. Made empty promises to the idiots, er, voters of Illinois.
6. Kissed the *** of George Soros for money.

He hasn't done squat, has no experience in national office much less on the international stage.  Why would anyone vote for him now???

Maybe when he gets a couple Congressional terms under his belt and has a track record worth reviewing, but to vote for him now would be a huge exercise in stupidity.

They gave it a name and wave it on a banner. They call it multiculturalism. A commie plot born in the Soviet Union that keeps on giving and giving imo.
