Has everybody forgotten Izzy?

:D
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

See if the kid will get the tattoo removed if someone else pays for the procedure.  You might find a special interest group or church that would be willing to pay for the removal...
Everyone I know, goes away, in the end.

There's a job to do. Try to convince him to erase it and replace it with a RAF roundel :D

The kid's 15.

I dunno.  It just really rocked me.  What a complete, total, disgraceful failure of society as a whole...  It takes a village and all and look what turned up...  It's shameful...  His history teachers have completely failed him...

I gave him a good chewing out...  I basically told him, "yeah, you're young, and you're stupid, and you're impressionable, and you've found this 'great' speaker, you've found all the symmetry and the power colors and the nationalistic pride and such...  And you fell for it head over heels...  But one day, hopefully, you're going to realize what an idiot you are...  Be careful, you play with fire" and all that...

It's pretty depressing.

Kind of a pointless post, I suppose.  But I just found it interesting that kids like him are still popping up.  And I have to wonder what the hell went wrong.

That is how people get killed.

In my motorcycle "club" days... there were a lot of antisocial tats on us.   1% is really the same sort of thing.    13 whatever.. they were there to set us apart and to anger or cause fear.   I have had a lot of em covered up with a pretty large dragon but I still have a small pair of lightning bolts.

It was not meant to show sympathy with the nazi party or even to show race hatred (tho I was a racist at the time).   It was there to show a seperation of myself from the rest of society... that is a very grandiose explanation for what, at the time, was really drug induced impulse behavior but it is fairly accurate.... we just didn't really think of what the reasons were so much as understood them to be amoung ourselves.

People dress and appear certain ways for a reason.   It is mostly to identify themselves to others of the same mindset more than to be individuals.

years ago in a "biker" bar near Daytona a biker dude walked up to me and after proudly showing off his tat( I dont remember if it was a swastika or the bolts)  he began the "how america is being ruined by "

before he finished ( I had been at the NASCAR race so I was sufficiently toasted) I broke in and said something to the effect of .. "my 80 year old father and his brothers didn't get on a boat in 1944 and risk ther f**** lives to win a g***d***mn war so the 40 G***D**mn years later I would have to stand in a bar in AMERICA  and look at a piece of S**T like you with that fluff'ng crap[ on your arm"

the guy just stopped and walked away!  and for the rest of the evening one of the bouncers was standing right by the table my friends and I were at.

I think that 15-year old is just going through those "phases".  He's like other people who thinks communism is cool.  He'll get over that nazism quick.

Yup

PHASES.  Mine was punk rock of course back in the day.  Ah yes B-52s, Adam Ant, Stray Cats.  I wore a Rising Sun Jap flag and zippered black jeans.  I would go to White Castle.  Save one.  Put it under my 68 Chev Impala.  BRAKE STAND  LOL!!!

I thought I was cool as this kid does too.  WWII  unfortuneately on one hand and fortunately on the other hand, is fading.  So kids trying to get attention etc will do these things.

Doubt it will last.  No need to feel that down dude.
