Since a clean & lean 51 can out dive the La7?

Runstang has been born again.

I have no data but the Hurri IIc always seems to hold E better than it ought.

this helps for a few guys i know, put both convergences to 600/500 and we tend to get a lot more kills outta the B.

"I have no data but the Hurri IIc always seems to hold E better than it ought."

If you mean in a dive so that is my observation too.

If you get to dive into a fight you can briefly catch any plane if you don't dump your E in a steep turn. I don't really understand how it does it with such a thick wing, but hey, same goes with Tiffie and it really was a fast plane. Although their weights are really different so the lighter one should not be able to overcome much of the drag with its lighter weight or less power (thrust).

And of course a good gunner can kill anything from 800yds with those guns.

I don't know what "ought" means excatly, but I find the H2C looses its speed pretty fast. It is one of the only planes I feel confident to E-drain at high speed and then zoom above when I'm in the Jug. It does not zoom well from high speeds though it hangs vertical for a good long time - enough to aim and kill even if you pull 600-800 yards away in the zoom.
