Historical Background:

The Junkers Ju-88 was one considered by many to be the most versatile twin engined aircraft produced by the Luftwaffe in World War II. It saw action all throughout Europe and in the Mediterranean. Finland was no exception and this Snapshot portrays one of the many roles of the Ju-88 as it is assigned to bomb two vehicle fields near Lake Lempaala. Escorted by 109G6’s they can expect to be intercepted by LA5’s

Orders:
LA5’s are to take off from A1 and CAP Vehicle fields 40 and 20. Russian pilots may send out scouts to intercept early any incoming aircraft.  
 
Restrictions:
LA5’s must carry 100% fuel.    
 
Axis:
Units:
Ju-88 – 40%
Bf-109G6 – 60%  
 
Orders:
Units are to take off from A63 and attack designated targets at V20 and V40. See the map below for specific targets at each field. Ammo bunkers and Hangers only.    
 
Restrictions:
109’s may not carry any bombs and must carry 100% fuel. Ju-88’s must carry 2 different bomb loads.
