A request of our Uber Pilots
« on: December 20, 2006, 06:45:48 PM »
Today I picked one of our Uber K4 pilots over the airfeild he had begun a pass on himself to pick any of the low unwary. I followed him down in a spit14 from several K above his 15 or so K and thought he was aware of me. He finished his pass by pulling up and I used the spit14's wep to close the gap. At 400d I cut his wing off and climbed away.

Just after his kill message appered he was a bit disgruntled on ch200 about being picked from higher up. I admit sometimes the blind Hog gets an acorn. I am not the Uber killer he is and don't worry about being.

It seems a waste of time admiring Uber players in AH for their obvious accomplishment in our community if they get so easily rattled by such a minor mishap. Especially since I admire the squad he belongs to and the good example of fun gamesmanship his squad mates always show.

It's my hope that he was simply having a bad day and everything will work itself out........:)

My request of our AH Uber pilots is:  You Gents and Ladies are so good at this game, please take it as a compliment when some of us actually gain a victory on you. The rest of the time it is us average AH pilots who's scalps increase your legends and uberhood.

Nomde!!!! Bustr not only was flying a Spit...but admitted to it on a public forum!! Ain't this grounds for some form of corpal punishment? Heck Plantan0 has been jabbering all week about wanting to use that new ball gag and paddle he's got. Might be a chance to kill two birds with one stone.

Wink...wink...nudge...nudge.. .say no more!!

if you gonna tell the story, get it right.

I was in K4, was at 10k...not 15k.  I grabbed to 8k otw to your base....seen about 10 dots higher than me so grabbed to 10k.  Did not see a enemy contact the entire way to your base.

I ran into a spit16, about 1k lower...he pulled up, i flat turn, he came back down after loop, i smacked him...2 nikis came in on me then...this was about 7-8k now directly over your base...draggin them up, they was 1k back....then spit14 was there from over me, 200 and got me.

my question was this....why not grab towards enemy base and move fight away from yours?  that was question on 200...stated I didnt understand why you grab to 15K+ over you own base and hang out there.

I can understand grabbin up some near base to get coalt with guys coming in...but why not move away from your own base and push fight to enemies?  If that wouldve happened, I would not of been 8-10K directly over your field without seeing a con.  The fight wouldve been in between both fields.

not sure where the heck you came up with this "my 15k or so"....I was at 10.5k when you bounced me....I was at no point in time above where you hit me at.

Now, the question still stands, just like I asked on 200, why stay over own field when you have alt on incoming cons?  why not push to enemy base and push them down some?

edit...and no, I never saw you up there.

KillnU,

Even a blind Hog gets lucky sometimes and where and why he feeds is as much his business as why anyone chooses where they will pick. I don't know why I was there when I was, I was playing with my new kitten on climb and approach. Then I saw a 109 below me. I dove, followed it up. At 400d it did not go very evasive. End of story. By the way the kitten was fascinated with the parts falling off your K4. His name is bustr and sends his regards. He trys to help me fly...:)

My real concern at the time was you are so good at this game and a bit of a legend. Why did it matter to "you" enough in the first place to say anything on ch200 to a "nobody" like me? Until you complained I admired your AH legend as an uber game player and someone for players to aspire to be like.

Unlike yourself, my recolection of the minute trivia and nuances of the fight are not very important. So I apologise if my recoloection is not as good as yours. Maybe thats part of why you are uber at this game.

My only concern is we average cherry fodder players only get a kill on someone like yourself by accident. And being at the uber level you obviously are it was strange you would complaine like some one of lesser abilities and impulse control.

Again I hope you were just having a bad day and all will be ok with yourself soon....:)    My apologeise if I cannot play the game correctly....:(

bad day because of game?  def not.  I die plenty in game and dont get "upset".  just dont understand, even after 4+ years, of why some play the way they do.  in the end, guess it really dont matter if I understand or not.
it bothered you that much the question I asked on 200 that  you felt you had to come to bbs and post a bs version of what happened?  Im sorry, didnt realize I wasnt allowed to ask question on 200 without ruining your opinion of me...I hopefully wont lose any sleep tonight.  wasnt like i jumped on 200 and started calling dweeb this and that...just a question of why not push fight to other base...I wouldnt of been at 10k over your base fighting guys that was within 1k of me if some of you had.

this whole "uber" crap you saying about me is just that...crap.  I may be little above average in game, but uber, def not.  heck, im even low man on totem pole in my squad.

I see 200 has a ppv channel on ah2.  I only find pm's and bbs posts directed towards me insulting.

Hehe..wtg bustr!!

bustr's tactics are spot on and i wish there were a few more that flew like him....

too many "pickers" use the "UBER" pilot tactics and hang about 5k away at about 8k off an enemy base and use alt/e ropes and stalls to get their kills.  often they have wingmen in case they miss.  certain "fiter ubersquads" specialize in this imho.   many nights i have upped and kilt vulchers and then headed towards enemy field just to get bounced by "uber" pilots and wingmen.    having a few defenders at alt usually discourages them and they go elsewhere

now dont get me wrong...no one is doing anything wrong or bad.   i guess i just dont think they are as uber as the rest of the community does...goto to the da and kill me with equal alt/e and ill start to believe...

but the comedy here is that the "uber pilot" (in this case killnu) had to question how someone else plays??? and continues to post as if this is completely legitimate.

(as an aside....when i read bustr's first post on this thread...i immediately thought he was talking about killnu....priceless comedy:lol )
