Okay, I decided to post a few pictures, here they come:

The view across the harbour, Hrafn GK is the one turning to the right (in the middle of the pic):

A little bit closer and Angus standing there.

And that's where he is working maybe right now:

And that's the sitting room (Angus sitting there).

And the kitchen:

By the way: he told me that they had really rough sea so that the cook got sick himself, so they got only hot dogs .....  I told him that this would probably be better than a puking cook in the kitchen...

Good luck and calm seas to him.  Here in Ireland we just lost two boats and five men in 24 hours. One of them is third generation of his family to be lost at sea. Fishing is a dammed dangerous.

I think it's in the top three most dangerous jobs along with loggers and curiously enough pilots which doesn't bode well for me. No wonder I pay higher insurance premiums.

Awfrrr Harr.
I'm back. All the Norwegian cod is now ours, and on the way to the US market. Aye.
We were fishing very much around the polar circle, and there we got big cod. Also further down south catching redfish.
Our area yo the north might be expanding, because the ice is shrinking, - must be getting warmer :D
My net. illgotten gains from the month amount to some 5.000 $ so thanks for all the fish :D
I won't make it for next tour, but aiming for more. Also trying to get a leg in on the week tours, - a month in one go is not so fmily friendly. Lol, I must have been nuts to jump for a month for the first time, but I was just fine.
Another pic of the ride:

Nice ship, and steady in the seas. We still logged a listing of 50 degs while at work once! That was a rough day.
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

Tell me about your shipmates Angus; are they manly men?

Seriously, 5K is a pretty good take for a month, wtg.  Do you get health benefits as well?

5700 $ it was, - netto.
I am insured aboard, - the rest is public insurance, but I also have my extra one. If that is not the health benefit you refer to, well, this job is a workout, and the food is heavy ;)
The crew was mainly manly men, one manly woman :D
(normally there are two)
Lots of this guy (or similar) caught:

That's some decent money.

But you are welcome to it, Angus. There is a TV programme on at the moment about trawlermen sailing out of somewhere in Scotland. That is one tough job. The size of some of the seas... amazing.

Good to hear you made it back to dry land in one piece.

Hello all again.
I've been on another ship, - this time it was not so much "Goodbye AH'ers" for it was one who does 6 day tours.
This one:

I´ll be sailing again next week, that tour as the ship's cook, hehe.
So, I'm one of the officers then :D

And you'll also be the one the crew beats up if you burn the stew. ;)

Have a good tour you old pirate! :)
