I have been in on massive troop drops that shut the game down.
That would be a tragedy if that happened.

Yes....please be aware that a massive troop drop at a base being captured about three years ago caused the arena to shut down folks.

Would be wise to get in touch with Skuzzy on this beforehand.  I wouldn't want a fine and fitting tribute to a fallen player to be ruined in any way.

Please check!

AmmoMults are an arena setting. Setting them to 0 causes planes to have no ammo (done during airraces in H2H). I dont think it would affect GV ammo loads, but im not sure. Will check offline.

Falcon, as an alternative to have troops dropped, why not drop field supplies? With a high number of people, i think the effect would be pretty much the same.

Edit:

I just tested Offline. I set the following Arena Settings to 0.000:

ManGunnerAmmoMult
PlaneAutoAmmoMult
PlaneGunAmmoMult

This caused the planes to have no ammo at all. The Vehicles (Panzer, T34 and Tiger) had no PintleMG ammo, and a reduced load in the Main Gun (around 100 shells). C47 load was not affected.

What is the contingency plan if something happens and the arena crashes during the flight?

Should everyone must meet up in the SEA again and start over?

I do not think the arena will crash, frame rates will be hit hard when the troops are dropped. With that in mind we are going to change from dropping troops as the missing man goes vertical until after he has passed through and above the C47s.
But if the arena crashes yes please come back in and we will do the Memorial Flight with out launching C47s
