explosive yeild of bombs and fires
« on: January 06, 2007, 06:52:18 AM »
i would like to see the actual yeild of explosives be corrected in the game with craters to match a drop of a 1000 pound bomb has enough yeild of force to drop quite a few city blocks not including the concustion if i spelled that right of the shock wave of the blast as well ,but on a futher not the crater from these would be deep enough to swallow a tank if drivin into, but i have drivin tanks thru craters as if the were just spray painted on the screen.

i know this would p/o alot of tankers in the game which it does now with pilots dropping 1000 pounders on tigers or near tigers and they survive with little or no damage, sorry but if bombs were modeled right.....would'nt matter where you drop a thousand pounder or even a 500 for that fact that tank would look like a scene from the wizard of oz in a tornado, the shockwave alone would take the turrent clean off.

Plus also ive noticed that when hangers go down they burn........looks like the hangers are made of metal, town building are wood and dont burn whats wrong with this picture? would be nice to see town buildings burning as well and maybe catch others on fire as well  so that we can see the fires and smoke starting to diminish to see when buildings are goin to pop again

just my 2 cents....corpse a.k.a. DeadOne

if the townboulidings burn it would be hard to see whats left of thw town, say you taking a base, 9 trps left and a building pops, its too hard to see that with fire all around,

true about the fh,bh,and vh     they shouldnd burn

The hangers aren't burning, the invisible contents of the hanger are burning.

The thickness of the "earth" in this game is nearly infinetly small. You couldn't make a "dent" in it without dropping the tank below the terrain, creating a never-ending fall. You'd need to redo the entire "ground" system to change this small thing.

A wildfire in the town would make the game unplayable for those without  mid- to high-end computers.

Making bomb blast radii as big as they would've been in real life would require towns and strats to be bigger to preserve difficulty, meaning that nothing would come of it except a decrease in frame rate.

Leave towns the same size and perk 1000lb bombs.

A lancaster's 4,000lb cookie's SHOCKWAVE ALONE downed an airplane flying overhead. It was a famous band leader flying to liberated france (his name escapes me). But at least model these right. Tanks dont survive things like this. Tigers WILL DIE with a 1,000lb bomb right on them.  The weight of the bloody bomb alone will crush the turret. Plus the explosion...

Glen Miller - is the band leader you cant remember, and its 1 possibility as to how he died, in a plane flying over a bomb jettison area in the Channel.
