you have to go into your routor access  .. set up your pc for 2000-6000 ports open for Aces high ...  also do the same in anyother firewall program you may have ..   if it still wont host correctly set you pc up as dmz host .

Did something change with the patch?  I used to be able to host fine before the patch, but now I can't.  My router's still forwarding ports 2000 to 6000 to my internal address, and my software firewall is still giving Aceshigh.exe full permissions.

Benny, im not sure since I do not have a Firewall myself.

But I think you need to reallow AH for it - even if it says that it still allows the aces high.exe. The patches change the exe file, that means that the firewall only allows the OLD aceshigh.exe, not the changed one.

Weekend?  No, I'm going through withdrawal and it is difficult to think rationally.  Yes, I reallowed Aceshigh.exe, and I also checked the events log to make sure incoming and outgoing connections were not being blocked when I put up the server.  I'm not network smart, but I've followed all of the directions and explored every possiblity I can think of.  It's worked until the patch, and I can't figure out why it won't work now.  And not being able to fly is driving me crazy.

Hehe, I understand the withdrawal part :).

Are you only unable to host? Or cant you join any H2H server hosted by someone else either?

Also, are you sitting behind a router? Then you might have to check the Router-Firewall as well....

And lastly, id just try turning off Firewall completely... see if you can host then. That will at least tell you if the Firewall is the problem or not.

I tried turning off the firewall completely, and still I show up as having zero players.

Do not select "LAN" when trying to host or join a game in H2H.

Does this help?

Nor do I.  Confirmation from Skuzzy that the port forwarding system has not been changed would be helpful.
