HELP CAN'T PLAY!

When I run AH the screen resolutions drops then it goes to a blue screen then nothing happens.  Anyone have any ideas what;'s going on?

What type of video card, direct x, operating system, etc are you using?

my vid card is a standard 8MB POS
it goes to a white screen
then a blue screen
that is off center...then nothing happens

First thing I'd try is getting Dx7a (note the a, available at the direct x site.)  Then I'd probably try getting new drivers for your v card that are compliant with DX.  (This is probably your problem.)  One other thing, what is your screen resolution?  Try 800 x 600 at 16 bit color to begin.

I have an Intel i740 8 mb card, I had to get new drivers before AH would work.  This might be what's going on.

It sounds like you're trying to run 32 bit color on a card that won't support it.  Try going into the setting directory in the aces high folder and delete the file video.cfg.  Run AH again and when you input your setup, select 16 bit color.
