please help, poor gunnery

check your convergence, and try to fire only AT convergence. You'll find a hundred theories on where to set them on these boards, but I have the biggest tip there is. Pick a convergence, and stick with it, don't keep moving them around looking for that sweet spot others seem to have. Mine are at 350 for all guns, in all planes. The lead may change due to ballistics of different guns, but I know if I hit at 350, Im going to do some damage. In your film you were hitting, but just not a concintrated  amount.

Set your convergence, leave it there, and practice !

another item....

Another item that affects gunnery hit percentage is the mode in which you chose to fly each mission.

Any mission in which you chose  to fly as a "fighter", as I understand it, only (please correct me if I am in error) air-to-air hits count for hit percentage INCREASE. If you fly in "fighter" mode and then strafe ground targets, i.e., town buildings , hangars, ammo bunkers, your "hits" will record as "misses", thus LOWERING your fighter hit percentage.

In the "attack" mode, both air-to-air and air-to-ground hits count for hit percentage.

There is a lot of good help posted in this thread.

Good Luck, Sir!
