Not so long ago they drove over an old Opel with a ww2 time captured T-34 in a local motoring show.

Neat recovery. I hope they restore it back to full soviet factory condition.

I hope they leave it as is.  Finding a captured T-34 still in German Markings is amazing.  It is living history, and if anything, should be restored as it is.

i agree bodhi..i hate to see history messed with no matter how bad it was.....i hope they restore it how it was found...it will loose alot of its meaning to have it changed into another plain russian t-34

Hell, there are thousands of T-34's in Russia.  Last time we checked into it, I could have one delivered to Colorado in running condition, for 60k.  I have never heard of a captured one in that type of condition.  It is simply amazing.

I agree. The "captured" markings make it much more unique. Amazing how little external corrosion there is.

Oh, and that's definitely a T-34/76, not an 85.

That is a German T-34. As the war grew more and more desperate the Germans became very skilled in finding room for more shells in their tanks. The Russians however were regulated by strict doctrines.
