Author Topic: RunTime Error Entering Aces High (Read 514 times)

Just after the download of 1.08 I started receiving the Runtime Error as I tried to start up Aces High. This happens choosing on or offline flying.

I can get in to Aces High if I reboot, but as soon as I leave Aces High I can no longer re enter without a Runtime Error.

Any ideas where to start would be appreciated.

Do you have Roger Wilco? If so, start by disabling that.

What version of Direct X are you running?

What video card and drivers are you using?

I have the exact same problem too.

Lephturn you said to disable RW but I use that all the time. What am I suppose to do? Just disable it when I know I'm leaving and coming back into the game then turn it back on when I'm in the game?

I use RW all the time and confirmed settings have not changed.

Same here. I have to reboot each time after I exit AH or I can't get back into it. (Not that I have ever exited on my own... since 1.08 the program closes down down on its own or I get a host connection lost message)

For the first time since I played AH I got a runtime error after downloading 1.08 just lost 200 perks as well from a lost connection to host too!

At least you guys get in, all i b\get is a white screen. I can't get into AH after selecting on or off line play.

Bullzi I was getting that by haping hi resolution selected or something like that in the video cfg section. Delete video.cfg and try reseting again

Make sure that RW is not set to autostart. This was a known bug in the beta version and still is here evidently for some ppl. Make sure you are set to wav recording and and not direct also. This "should" cure the runtime error problems.

Yep me thinks rw was the problem too the one time I ran rw before I ran AH was the only time the runtime error happened.

Oh and it was only 100 perks lost not 200 as first thought
