Dandy Don Merideth was a great old school football player, and a well informed and entertaining commentator. Anyone that plays in the ice bowl with pneumonia, and makes Howard Cosell tolerable has got to be an all time great.

Evidently Prince doesn't express himself all that well, I've never figured out the point behind what he calls "music".

I still remember Cosell and Meredeth getting smashed during a Philly game and setting Keith Jackson's pants on fire. :rofl :rofl :rofl

Da Bears are still the worst 13-3 team in NFL history just like I said they were.

How many games did the officials cost you this year Rip?  Was it all 8 losses?

The Bears played about as expected (at least by me). Grossman played as expected, and the defense, suffering in the latter half of the season, played the best it could (which wasn't good enough without having an offense on the field).

The organization stuck with Grossman as the future "franchise" QB instead of switching to the backup Griese many games ago, who has much less potential longevity for the team but would have provided better average play and maybe even led to a superbowl win instead of a loss. They had a shot this year but it seemed they were thinking more down the road at the expense of this game. "Well, if we lose this one we'll just win the next one or the one after that..." Good luck.

IMO Gorssman wasn't ready to start this year, and may never be ready to serve as a solid, confident QB. His smug little overated face just pisses me off.

The Bears have already proven you dont need a QB to get to the superbowl.  Now if only they could figure out how to get a placeholder that will follow instructions and not get delusions of granduer.  WTF is going through Grossman's head?  You'd almost think he believes he can throw the ball.  As if he hasn't had enough evidence to the contrary, he had to ruin their shot at the Superbowl with his idocy as well?  I think the fans of Chicago should take him out behind the stadium and give him some old fashioned lessons in taking orders.  Moron.  He personally cost the Bears the game all by himself.  I hope he's proud of his performance.

No.  But I dont pretend to be an NFL quarterback either.  He should stop pretending to be one himself.
