wow i never thought i could actually have fun and die at the same time.

not fighting for score has really taken a load off and i think its a turning point for me.

i would suggest noit fighting for rank i mean its like really fun when you dont lmao.

i feel i have become a better person lol!

hope to catch yall out there and guess what my fighter rank was like 55 last month lol and i had a good time dieing about 50 times.

I managed to be one of the "top dogs" (held number one for kills for a few hours, was in the top ten for a few weeks) in a previous aerial combat game.  It was a huge hassle.  Finally I just stop attending ladder servers.  After that I had a lot more fun.

People who are obsessed with their statistics tend to be mean, selfish, and cheap.  They'll usually do anything to protect or pad their numbers, including "gaming the game."  They don't play nice, they only care about their own fun and no one else's.  And in the end, they don't have fun, either.  I know, because I was there.

I just returned to AH after an enforced break and I brought with me a new ethos. Have fun and let others have fun. If you want to HO me, ram me, go ahead, just have fun doing it and if I do the same to you, be sure to know I am smiling on the other end of the connection.

AH is a different game when you're smiling.

yup i know what u mean dmonslayr i played for rank 1 month and i think got an overall rank of 13 but then i stopped playing for rank and found way more fun that way. now i know i should never have played for rank, it is so much more fun  to jump into a  fight with 5 cons by yourself, and sometimes i can kill all 5 of them lol or at least get a couple.

Due to the fact that I'm not anywhere proficient in this game, my opinion is limited in the weight it carries.
  However, when it comes to scores, I generally use them to gauge my improvement from one tour to another, reguardless of the outcome. Perhaps once I get to where I can consitantly achieve a 1 to 1 K/D ratio, then I might concern myself a little on where I stand on the "leader board". Until then, it is all pretty much relative to where I was last month as oppposed to this month. If you are one of the few that are at the top of the list, as it were, then you perhaps could be helping us less fortunate pilots improve our game? Would seem justifiable. Then that would increase the selection of matched opponents to your considerable skills.
   I'm sure someday, if I keep practicing, I might even see my name somewhere on that Top Listing. But I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. I'm in competition with myself, and only myself. But that is My game, is'nt it?      :aok

i had a blast defending a Bish Port in LWB with a couple guys one in his second day the other in his first week. i'm only four months in but this was the best time i had even with low numbers on the map. we got a bunch of kills but every sortie was fly till you die.

To be top 20 is more like a job than fun more concerned about stats than anything. I just like killing stuff and If I catch some lead oh well. Only thing that takes away from the game to me is pickers and selfish people who let others die deacking.

Thats the motto every sortie. I do try to land em if I have over 3 though, but someone alwas finds my buffs. Usually tore to shreads no ammo, and pilot wounds.

Forgot who said this while trying to take a base, but the quote goes like this. "I cant help you with ack, Im not in attack mode" This is with only 2 ack up in the town while troops were there, waiting. The rest of the town was down.
