The KKK is seeing record increases in its membership and has launched some campaigns to use the issues of illegal immigration and opposition to gay marriage to bolster membership even more.

I know these are two hot button issues here on the O'Club, thought some of y'all might find you have some interesting bedfellows on the issues.

There is a petition going aroung Washington State to annull any marraige after three years if it does not produce children.

it doesn't surprise me. I've been saying for years that the pendulum will swing in the other direction. I don't mean regarding solely homosexual issues either. I think people are generally fed up with the whole P.C. tyranny especially when it comes to dealing with any minority group. governmental intrusion into every aspect of daily life isn't helping matters either.

Well, the main reason I see cited here for why marriage should only be between a man and a woman is because marriage is designed to create children, the 'annul if no children' requirement seems like a clever way to force the issue. If the objection is not about kids, then what _is_ it about?

Am i reading you right? Are you blaming people joining hate groups on the fact that they have been asked to treat others with respect, to not violate their rights based on race/creed/gender/sexual orientation, or put simply treat people with basic human dignity? Are you saying that's too much to ask?

I know that Oregon had a huge KKK membership back in the 20s, hope it's not here in my backyard, heh.

No, you arent reading him right. He is refering to how the PC types have gone completely overboard and abusive with "political correctness". Some people can only take so much and the weak ones will find comfort in hating those they feel are to blame.

Anyone see the show about the history of the Klan not to long ago? If I remember there over 3 million members at one time. Maybe more.
