It seems that she believes she's the President.  I just caught a report on Fox News that she wants a 757 to travel from Washington, DC to SF Bay area.

Can you say "Relocate" Boys and Girls?  Yeah... good.  We Relocate when we find a new job, when we have too many warrants in one place or when we testify against the MOB.  It means "Moving" Boys and Girls.  But that is next weeks word.

Tell me this is a joke...

:huh

It's just one of the perks of the office. The scary part is that she is #2 in line for the Presidency.

Now THAT might bring the revolution lasersailor indicates he so eagerly awaits.

Actually, Yeager, the entire Republican organization is to blame. They held the Senate, House and Presidency for six years and accomplished basically nothing in ANY area of importance. Immigration? Zip. A better tax system? Nope. There were NO improvements anywhere.

They had opportunity to lead and they chose to sit on their hands. It really isn't that suprising that they were replaced.

That is not all George Boy has screwed up . He has totaly distroyed The Republican Party ......
Here is a letter published on KFI radio website that pretty well summs up how I see it .... on another issue also...  ...

 "Mr. President,

I have supported you when others laughed and thought I was stupid. I
supported the war in Iraq when it was becoming increasingly clear that
public sentiment was turning against it. I supported your choices for
Supreme Court and Cabinet. I voted for you and Republican candidates at all
levels despite the media’s propaganda. I have been loyal to the ideals that
you have pretended to follow. Now you show your true colors in refusing to
pardon Ignacio Ramos and Jose Campean.

Tom Tancredo is absolutely correct: You are an embarrassment to the office
of the President of the United States of America. Even if you win the war
in Iraq (which you won’t now that congress is run by the Democrats), you
will LOSE the war on terror by refusing to close the southern border. Your
myopic “open borders” policy is going to allow terrorists to freely enter
the U.S. and Americans will die. But you do not seem to care about that,
just keeping your buddies down south happy. Pathetic.

How can you call yourself a God-fearing man when you take no action to end
this injustice? How do you think God would look upon your inaction in this
case? These men did nothing but follow the law and try to protect
Americans, now they are going to prison for it. I am so angry at you
personally, no liberal could EVER match my disgust. I feel betrayed as I
have never felt betrayed by a politician before. I have been a stupid dupe,
but my naivety ends here. I now see your true stripes and will vote my
disgust at YOU and YOUR PARTY every chance I get. Not that the Democrats
are a much better choice, but at least I expect them to be traitors so I am
not angered as much by it. You, on the other hand, I expected to be loyal
to America and the sworn officers serving in your Injustice Department.

What is wrong with you? This should never have happened in America. Thank
you for giving amnesty to a Mexican DRUG SMUGGLER and illegal invader.
Thanks for pardoning all of those other criminals that you let off easy.
Man, I used to think that Bill Clinton was evil and a crook, but he’s got
nothing on YOU. I’m sick with anger and disgust. I hope every border
patrol agent quits tonight and we let the Mexicans invade.

May God have mercy on your soul. The children of these men are the ones who
will pay the most. I wonder if the drug smuggler who was rightfully shot in
the butt (should have been shot in the head and this wouldn’t be an issue)
will be spending Easter with his family?

David Eisenbeisz
American Citizen and supporter of the Border Patrol, Ignacio Ramos, and Jose
Campean

P.S. Tony Snow needs to GO. His condescending and self-righteous attitude
toward these two fine officers is sickening and you will be the one to pay
the price for his arrogance. You will become the most hated president ever;
even more vilified than Lyndon Johnson or Richard Nixon. Iraq won’t be your
Viet Nam, Jose Campean and Ignacio Ramos will be."

Facts of the Case?

Quote
According to the evidence presented at the trial, including the agents' testimony and their statements after the incident, here are the facts: On Feb. 17, 2005, at about 1 p.m., Compean and Ramos were on duty along the U.S.-Mexico border when they observed a suspicious vehicle -- a van that turned out to be loaded with more than 700 pounds of marijuana. The driver -- later identified as Osvaldo Aldrete-Davila -- jumped out of the vehicle and tried to run back into Mexico. Ramos and Compean both testified that they made a point of looking at the suspect's hands and saw no weapon. Compean fired at least 14 rounds and Ramos fired once. Ramos wounded the suspect and saw him limp into Mexico. The agents then collected the shell casings and filed false reports, trying to cover up the incident.

Is there anything this summary excludes? Is this what happened?

I haven't really been following this too closely because of the indication that they shot at an unarmed fleeing man.

Whatever you think of that personally, I think it's pretty clear that the Border Patrol doesn't allow that.

So, what do you think should have been done here?

And before you start, I think I've established myself here as pro immigration control and anti drug smuggling, so we can skip over any accusations, OK?

What they did was wrong, but I still hate to see them put away.

It's kinda like someone being caught red-handed on video tape commiting a crime and getting off on some technicality.  They should be punished but are not.  In the border patrol case, they were wrong in what they did but right (IMO) in the overall scheme of things.

Another thing of note..."Compean fired at least 14 rounds and Ramos fired once. Ramos wounded the suspect and saw him limp into Mexico."  Either Ramos is one hell of a shot or Compean royally sucks with a firearm.

I heard about the false report being filed quite a while ago, wondered why, if it was a righteous shoot.

You fail to mention the physical struggle between one of the agents and the suspect, and the fact that neither agent nor their supervisor saw any evidence that the suspect was struck by one of the rounds fired at him.

I suggest you read some of the DHS documents that have been made public in the last 48 hours regarding the case and their investigation.
