You quoted three of my questions, what you said doesn’t even make sense or tie into my questions.....
you seem t9o have not read my posts.
It is not about "loud" music" or any perception of loud, or anything to do with that.
It is about general politeness to an individual.
I never said anything about "gaining" or "earning" respect in the broad sence, it is about politeness.
if black sheep was "impolite"about playing his music, as what appears to be the general consensus here *(see note) then so be it. he was wrong. what gives the right of the "old man" to be an a** to him? because of the hair? the car? the imagined and assumed lifestyle?
I can think of and have witnessed a million situations similar to this about a selfish "old man" imposing his will on others regardless of the outcome. no matter what "social norm" black sheep supposedly violated, be it assumed, or imaginary, gives the right for someone to be a total jerk about it.
"reverse" the situation again, and and old liberal comes up playing NPR liberal talk radio, and I happen to hear it from his open window. can I walk up to him and say "kind of political isn't it?" ?
he smiles, and keeps his bush bashing playing, can I NOW get rude? (rhetorical, wasn't I just in my non-committal, blanket remark about what was playing, without actually stating my preference?)
I don't care if you are playing "yankee must die" by some redneck band while up in the new england area, you WILL hear something "offensive" or whatever may not suit your tastes, and if it not suitable to you, no matter what volume it is, it will be "too loud" for you. if you want it to not bother yourself anymore
there are MANY ways to go about it, other than being a sarcastic salamander.all my quotes before where trying to attempt and tell you that bold statement, but i guess you don't care about that. as you asked I will answer, it has nothing to do with "earning" respect, or anything similar, it has to do with general manners. fins, go ahead and say black sheep was doing something "without" manners, or whatever, do you still have to be an arrogant bellybutton about it to him?
guess the lowest common denominator is the rule in todays ameerika, and approved by the majority as it seems here.
*note: music is a great thing, and my goodness I can't believe so many are so opposed to music as a whole. I hate rap, and hate rush too, but music is music, and to say just even casually hearing it is a crime, then my God, BAN TEH MUSIC! it is amazing the senile talk radio viewpoints that are shown. LONG LIVE NPR!!1111
