Lopsided eny
« on: February 12, 2007, 08:31:01 AM »
This weekend I noticed a huge unfair difference in eny. During one point rooks had 80+ people on more than nits = eny 12

Next day Nits have roughly 60 more than rooks = eny 25

Im at work but I have the screen shots at home. Did anyone else notice this besides me?

ENY limit based on percentage, not pure numbers.

Bzek, the real issue isnt the total numbers....it's the ratio compared with the LOWEST country.

So, yeah, that high ENY could make sense if the arena was less populated, or if the lowest country was farther from the other 2, in your second example.

If you're implying that the company is being unfair, treating one side differently than the others, I would disagree.

ENY limitations are automatic and same for all countries. And people in all countries whine about them when hit ;)

ENY works just fine.

Squad is Rooks.  Squad planned mission the day before, progressively moving up the F4U versions each flight.

ENY was high for the Rooks, we moved to Bishops who had the lowest numbers.

Ran the mission as planned.

Nothing wrong with the ENY at all, did what it's supposed to do.

I'd be interested to know why the F4U-1 has a higher ENY value than the FM-2. Surprised the hell out of me when I tried to up for base defense last night in an FM-2 only to find it unavailable yet I could still launch the birdcage Hog.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

I have more interesting question: why F4F-4 has same eny as FM-2 (in MA)?

That's a great question.

In any arena.

I agree with this in the Late War arenas where the numbers are higher.  My squad had an ENY problem in Mid War.  We had about 20 on and that basically doubled the knights and therefor the ENY.

If we all change to Bish, the ENY simply follows us and then the Bish have a low ENY and we cannot switch sides.

The only other alternative is for the squad to split, and squads (to me) are what this game is about and why I play in a squad.

The tough thing(IMHO) about eny comes when you have a scenario like this:  120  Rooks, 70 Knights, 145 bishops.  As a rook you get eny penalties even when fighting the superior numbers of the bish.  I don't like this.  Maybe have eny penalties on bases near knights in this scenario.. leave  just a couple of bases over on the bish side w/ no eny penalty.
