I used my tree texture i made, then made white only the tree part and rest black.I used that as an alpha texture.Then i made a whole black bmp which was the base file.Then on the alpha texture i reduced the white on gray scale.

Then i put the shade object below the tree.You should add the the zbias tag in the object properties.Do not add stencilalpha tag, shade won't show then.
Also add the nocollide tag

Snow trees.Also redone, greatly reduced fps usage.

Should use those trees and make a fall map. Cover the ground with leaves and brown grass.

Wow duh, you had me convinced it was the game making those shadows. That is way over my head, I really badly need to learn how that works, for as it is AH's planes' shadows won't show on my custom rwy and taxi tiles.:lol

Being a nearly complete OE idiot I have a question...

Do those shadows shorten and lengthen depending on the time of day?

Forgive my OE ignorance. :)

One comment... if you are going to hard-code the shadows into the objects, you might want to think about "straight down" instead of slanted like that. They won't look so obviously out of place that way. Maybe even blur them out a little.
