anyone up for some DA time tonight?

i was thinking it would be fun to get a few guys together for some little DA duels, i miss the old DA, mainly because no one flies in there anymore, but i thought if i posted a time we might get a few guy to come along?

i was thinking 4 pm EST onwards, vox ch 200 so we can all talk. if anyone is interested, come along! been a while since i saw a good gathering of decent sticks, wouldn't mind having one tonight.

DA, 4pm EST/9pm GMT/10pm Euro, vox 200, get ready for some fun!

DA used to be where you could go w/ some vet friends and slug it out and have a ball.
Last couple of times I went there I had to put up w/ chest thumping juveniles before I even got out of the tower to launch. Haven't been back since. Can you leave those types out?

That was one of the hardest fights I have ever been in, can't believe I didn't record that. Still trying to figure out how you flew that 109 like that. I actually had to take a couple of minutes after that one and work the kinks out of my arm. The shot that got you was total luck sir, I honestly thought I would run out of gas before one of us got a firing solution.

For those that are wondering, Biggles was in a 109F4 and I was in an A6M5b. We were in a knife fight on the deck for at least 10 minutes and I don't recall ever seeing a seperation of more than maybe 800 at any point. Plus he forgot to let go of his drop tank until very late in the fight. I got a VERY luky shot coming over the top and got him but like I said....total luck.

Word of advice: if you EVER run acros a 109F4 in the MA and it reverses on you in the blink of the eye, you better pray it's not Biggles. If you think it is run like hell. That was the best display of flying I have seen in a very long time if ever.

ahhh hornet you're too kind...

it was a fantastic fight, once in a lifetime for sure... and you certainly weren't flying to badly yourself!

very intense fight, any opportunity i got you were quick to notice, and denied me the shot. i did chuckle when i looked at my fuel dial though (i thought i was going to run out of fuel) and saw EXT in big white letters

i was surprised how well the 109 did against the zeke, especially with the droptank on!

great fight hornet, really fun

started at 4:00 pm local my time and it's 8:25 now. Wish I could have shown gents. I know I would have been whipped like a drug mule but you only get good flying against the best

i know how u feel steve, i was in the DA last night fightin verbal and some dude kept jumpin into our duels, whats up with these noobs. he was asked nicely many times to not engage and still did it, i had to teach him a lesson and laughed as he spray'd and pray'd in the pony he was flyin. i wish that hitech would turn killshooter off so that we can play the way we used to in there

i miss the old DA too
