*The Round Table*
« on: February 14, 2007, 12:59:57 PM »
Back in AW people used to host meetings where they would have a guest speaker that would give out tips, on how they fly, what to do in certain situations etc. I thought it would be nice if we did something like that.

Perhaps we could start a monthly "Round Table" where a pilot is asked if he would be willing to goto the DA, sit in the tower, and tune to a channel. People could come to the tower and ask questions on the text, and the pilot could respond to those questions over vox.

We could have the guys you love to hate, hate to love, and everyone in between. It could be a good learning experience, as well as a good kick back relax with a cold one get together.

I could use the chart I made that showed a pilot's strengths and weaknesses, perhaps ask for a pic of the pilot to post prior to the meeting.
Then when we meet you have a feel for how the pilot flies, if he flies like you, or like many of your enemies you'd like to learn about, and how to better fight them.

If anyone is willing to be a speaker, please reply here that you would be willing. I will choose from that group and plan a time for this.

I could say a few things about owning folks!  hee hee

Seriously, I could give some good hints on E fighting, flying on the edge of the envelope, and reversals!  Let me know.......it's what I do for a living, teaching that is!!

All of it is important; most of it vital; and all of it just too much for one brain to absorb in 1-2 lessons" TC

Unfortunately SIM left AH to pursue FlightSimX.  He handled all the magazine stuff, I just did that one interview with Wolfala. I had the 999000 interview rdy, but SIM left then my PC crashed and I lost it.

I suppose I could try it again, but it seems hearing from people first hand is a better way to do it.
