Big Rivers or estuarys or tributarys, large enough for a CV to pass through.  Theres a couple maps that are border line close, but in the end "waypoint touches land".

And yea I know....Tactically INSANE to bring a cv up a river, but it would be fun.

It would fit perfectly with the tactically insane gaminess already plaguing CV use in the game.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

A CV in open water with no CAP defense with the ability (if not actually) able to turn is usually dead meat.

A CV in river?  Like pushing baby chicks into a pond.  And how wide a river to handle all the escorts too without constant "course intersects land" type messages to TG CO?

Rivers would be a nice addition.... and bridges.... little bottle necks... a place for Apocalypse Now fans to get in touch with their inner River Rat with PT's.

if someone sees it sitting in river, ON COME THE LANSTUKAS

it would be cool to "stop a CV from moving...instead of it moving constantly, you get it into a little bay and turn off engines...anyone think?

Then you can sit in the tower and bet on how long it takes for those trying to take off to come to the understanding ( albeit graphically ) the necessity for CVs to turn into the wind when launching aircraft. ( or generate an ample amount of wind on their own )

Don't ask me how I know this.. lol.

Shade accounts would LOVE that.

Up bombers... head toward the CV..... use shade account to "anchor" the TG.... drop bombs on idle CV.  As if it were not easy enough now.

Why not offer option to "stand-down" the auto-ack too?  Those poor 'bots need a break.

I'm not sure if you are aware of this, yet bridges are already available. The most recent TE update from HTC has included some new buildings and a brand spanking new bridge design. Although the only thing I'm gonna say which you don't wanna hear is that It's in the OE, not the TE. So HTC would not allow the bridges to be showing up in MA terrains.

Navigable rivers would be great, but not for CV use.  They would have to be unreasonably wide to allow passage, and sitting ducks while in transit.  Now for river warfare, they would be great!  We had a Rhine map someone built that got used in the Axis&Allies arena.  There were PT spawn points on the river, and opposing v-bases right on the river banks.  This would allow cross-river assaults.  Cools stuff.

I'm not sure why we don't have river bridges in the MA.  It would be cool to have a spawn point about a mile from the bridge, with the v-base just on the other side.
