Now it may well have been an accident and if so c'est la vie.  I understand similar happened last week with somone else. It really annoys to be taken out by "friendly" fire even if it is just an inconvenience at worst.  Got to be more careful please guys.  WTG on the other kill.

I'm still trying to figure out why there were no P-40's, 1 F4F, and no Seafires flown by the allies.  I've never seen so many Hurri II's in one spot.  Did the allies not have minimum number of aircraft for each type this frame?

Early appetizer Bostons, who got eatin like an Angus calf fallin into the amazon by those sharp tooth fishy.(sorry too drunk too spell)

Followed by an all you can eat buffet of hurri 2's, but then it all ran out and we had to go lookin for the desert tray, and we found it south.(Kermit)

Ugh. I think I puked up a boston over there in the corner. I shouldn't have eaten so much.

I don't feel so good right now. All I remember was the waiter bringing our squad a nice tray of Bostons with no escort for dinner, and then I wake up with a HUGE food bill stuck to my forehead! Who the heck ate 4 Bostons and a couple of Hurricanes for dinner! Krusty, RDRTrash and Ramon are passed out over there by the empty punch bowl looking as guilty as sin. By the look and smell of things, the food was pretty good last night... Sorry we didn't save much for you there Doobs. I am sure the squad will be talking about this night for the rest of their lives. What a blast!  

What!!! Two destroyers!! How am I going to pay for this!!

Yeah I hear you on that Dantoo...  I get an assist for helping shoot down my own squaddie as well... once again last night.  Now, two weeks ago it was from a busrt of 30mm from my 110 and I watched Ziff go poof really fast.  :t   Now last night I didn't even thing about it as Ziff, Grog and myself were on the deck and all of a sudden spit's and hurri's came zipping in on our 6....  So when I help Ziff clear a Hurri off his 6 and am below him I help that clown shoot down my own squaddie.....  oh well, I think between the three of us we bagged about 7 or so... but the funny thing is. Ziff rolled in an 88... and 20 minutes later it says he joined as gunner.... but yet he was flying by me all night... wierd!:huh

Allies CO needs a CAT scan to see if any part of his brain functions. You Axis boys might of had fun clubbing us baby seals, but really, did it take much skill. Unescorted Bostons must have been a great sight form your side, but on our side I would say there were more than a few of us that were pissed off. I think The Damned lasted all of 20 minutes total, and hit three targets. Fifteen bombers gone in a matter of 60 seconds. Not to mention two weeks in a row flying Bostons. I took a month and a half off from FSO because the fun factor was gone. Well It's gone again, after flying the last two frames. I think I'll take even more time off this time. It just isn't worth staying up that late to get your bellybutton handed to you.
I'll be back if FSO start time gets changed to 22:00 est. Till then, have fun and I'll see you in the MA.

Sorry it was un-fun for you Damned-ones (I guess that's double word score right now), when I heard "Hurri's headed in to the base, low" I figured that the orders must have been foobed; that didn't stop me from getting right back in the chow line though! :rofl

A week off... Hopefully the vittles will be just as good during the next set of Frames.  *S* poor allied victims

Zrex contacted me last night and explained what happened.

He was ordered to dump his ord on takeoff.  He was unaware that bombs in the SEA were any different to the MA.  He wasn't expecting any damage to be done and has been surprised to find out that he had caused the upset.  He raises a very valid point that it is hard to find out about things like this and he even has a few years experience.

I don't know what the main course looked like, my wing and I were late to the party (us C202s were scouts) so I only got the table scraps. Funny thing is I thought I had more bostons than I did, and didn't realize I'd got so many hurricanes! The food does funny things when it starts pooling in your lungs and eyeballs...

I can fully understand your frustration on the matter. I might suggest being a CO (or XO or some direct assistant) in the next one, to better prevent this from happening. Doing it all by yourself takes a lot of effort and planning (so I learned in the BOB'06), but if you've got a team that lightens the load for all.

EDIT: Oh, and the fun-factor (for me) was even greater planning out the battle and the prongs of the attack.

Some things I saw from my end:

1.Get your guys there (SEA) EARLY, and make sure their in uniform, ready to go at launch. Preparation Preparation Preparation. If your over or under your squads limit for pilots.... ask for help!!

2. This is not the MA. Make sure they understand FSO rules and setup ie. These are 1 life events w/ certain exceptions. This is an HONOR system!!
Killshooter is off, ammo and ords are live!

3. DO NOT Give Command of the one and ONLY Allied TG to someone who has obviously never commanded one.

DMDJJ:

It should never be about pointing fingers and assigning blame for what went wrong. This is a Team based event.
Did the Boston pilots ask for cover? Was there a strategy for keeping the TG alive?
How about the Hurri's ... what was their responsibility?
Orders are sent out to the CO's by the CiC's. They are the ones who create the battle plan. CO's should then send them off to squad members. They (CO's) are the ones who asked for and were handed plane sets for their respective squads. Did anybody read them, or did they end up in the trash basket?
Things can and should be discussed ahead of time within your country about the battle plan, no matter who you are or what you feel your rank is.
I got mine from my CO, and read them thoroughly. As a Setup CM, I did notice a small error and corrected this with the CiC's.
Someone will win the event.... I would guess to say that it is rare that you will ever see a "draw". Nobody likes to loose.... at least not me... but thats just my nature. It does however make me try harder the next time.
Please do not give up on FSO, it is a great event and needs active participation from EVERYONE to make it a success.
