And also ,I never was talking to map makers, they do an awsum job with maps,never meant to belittle their efforts,the two reasonably new maps we have are the best,i just mean to point out that we need twice as many in the rotation and one map should never be in two arenas let alone all at the same time,as for fugitive like i said im sure he's a good guy, I don't know him.
when i said the maps are boring, i should have said they have become boring haveing seen them all so many times now in a very short rotation.If i could make a map that was worth sending in, I would, I know it's very difficult and those who can and have made them "S".
But, the fact is that AH itself has done nothing to add maps, or as far as I know address the problem. That is what i wanted to point out.
Call me an idiot whiner, ok , fine,I'm not alone,I'm in the vast majority,And the problem and the majority of us idiots will grow so long as we still have such a short list of maps.

Dang, the last two new terrains I added 21 days ago are already used up. Ok, that says we need to provide 2 new terrains every 20 days.

That's about 37 terrains a year. Ok you terrain makers, better get busy. I know it takes about a month to 6 weeks to get a terrain done, so who are the 4 or 5 folks willing to dedicate their time to this endeavor?

Because if it is only HTC doing terrains, then we are looking at everything else being shut down. I know no one wants that.

Wish fester was still making maps.

Thats not true yanksfan and I believe u know that already. You are frustrated like many of us are. I have found new ways of having fun by switching to the side with less numbers. Base capturing is fun for me now knowning that we have only 8 bases left. Taking on the mass hordes trying 2 reset the small maps I enjoy so much.

Wow,lol, opened up a can o worms didn't i,,,,oops,,,,yes your right im sure asking for new maps is a bit simplistic, and yes there are many ways to play the game to have fun,fugitive loves the game and took offence to my comments, but you must admit, if i didn't have a point this would not be a popular topic.
I don't mean to whine about it,but when we had one arena, we had plenty of maps, now we have four arenas we need four times the maps, i know all the people at ah are doing what they can,and i know maps don't grow on trees, but maybe bring back some old maps with less bases, i don't know.
All I do know is that I and alot of other people are bored with the old maps and if the choice is like it or leave it, eventually people will leave.And I for one don't want to leave or have anyone else leave either.

Yanksfan...

I know for a fact there are maps in the 'pipeline'. The recent hardware problems at HTC has put them on the back burner (you want Skuzzy workin' on maps...or keeping the game running?).

Now here is something you might want to consider...

Ignore the map. Go find a fight and you won't have time too worry about how bored you are with the map. Who knows....you might even have FUN!!!

I agree with yanksfan!!! Having fooled around some making maps I do know the work envolved. Except for the new smaller pizza map and the small messa map we see the same couple of maps week after week.
It isn't slamming the folks who made the maps to say we are tired of seeing them.
New maps have been asked for since the new smaller map version came out. You don't see it talked about in the fourms much anymore because 1) most people have had their say and 2) it's HTC's game and they can do what they want. Using the same maps week after week must be easier. Like showing re-runs on TV.
