There are only 2 sides.

The red side and the green side.

Because back when you were in diapers, the great gods of AirWarrior stated that there will be Az, Bz, and Cz.

The team selection was made on a whim..... a tootsie pop was used, they found it takes 3 licks to get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop.

Tootsie pops don't lie!

Keeps you honest.

But if the ENY is used to keep a side with the high numbers from launching then it should work with only two sides as well, shouldn't it?

the teams should be based on nations. for example, usa can only fly usa planes, british, can only fly british planes. so on and so on.

Sorry for nerding this up guys...

But in chess there are King and Queens (not a good name for teams)
Then there are Bishops, Knights, and Rooks
And lastly for the standard chess piece is the Pawn. (could be added)

Therefore, we could have up to 6 teams, I guess HTC thought only 3 were "logical".

3 sides allows for a greater variety of numerical imbalances. If there were just 2 sides, there could be only one horde. Now, we can have 2 hordes, and still have one side completely overwhelmed, thereby suiting a full 2/3 to 3/4 of the players online at once, instead of a mere 1/2 to 2/3 of them.

That would be better. I just get tired of fighting 47s against 47s etc.
