Ahhhh, the voice of reason. I was curious where this was going. Thanks Widewing.

Apparently, one in five people in the world are Chinese. And there are five people in my family, so it must be one of them. It's either my mum or my dad. Or my older brother, Colin. Or my younger brother, Ho-Chan-Chu. But I think it's Colin. - Tim Vine.

Was chasing a set of ar234's to a cv group once.. jumped them on teh bombing run killed two and was finishing off the last one in my 262 when suddenly my left wing tip came off... The enemy plane flew thru the ack unscathed and I lost my bird due to friendly fire.. it was not a pleasant experience.

It was a lovely sunny Sunday morning with a wind speed of 0 and the weather called for low enemy contact over the enemy HQ.  Seeing this great opportunity I grabbed an rv8 to photograph and do recon for the up coming allied bombing mission which now seemed inevitable.

All Data had been gathered, and as I was getting ready to RTB when all of a sudden my eye caught a glimpse of a high Hog diving in from 4 ‘o’ clock.  In an act desperation and panic I pushed my nose down banked hard to the Right and gave it full rudder till I saw nothing but a tunnel vision, all this time hoping that he would miss.  As he dove behind and under firing his guns I did a quick check for damage, the left aileron along with one of the landing gear had gone missing.

He climbed back up to get in position for another pass.  This guy is not a bad shot, not going to make home this run I thought  ……….…
