Korn MTV Unplugged
« on: February 24, 2007, 08:44:57 PM »
I CANNOT WAIT for this album to come out.  I'm a huge Korn fan and this is one of the VERY FEW things MTV has gotten right in there past 10 years.

Korn aside some of the "unplugged" albums have been the best ever made.

Nirvana and Eric Clapton unplugged both come to mind.

anywho, freak on a leash featuring amy lee is pretty good.

I hate how most musicians think that if they play the song with an acoustic guitar rather then the guitar it was really meant for, then they are some how more sensitive or emotional.  Yet it always ends up sounding like crap and they suddenly become giant sweetheartbags.

I like Korn.  I like Evanescance.  However, hearing that abortion that came out of the unplugged studio made me just want to start kicking babies.

Seems like any musical post made here makes you want to club seals, laser.

Is there anything you do like?  Lawrence Welk maybe?

Hey, it's not my fault that the only music that people are posting about is bad music.

But onto good music.  I'm personally starting to get into Dio.  I've always loved Holy Diver, and just the style always gets me going.

Eh, as a solo artist he's ok, Holy Diver's good.  I thought his best work was with Black Sabbath.  Neon Knights...now that's one badass song.

Yes, C.W. as Bruce Dickinson, the producer.

BOC was just here last week.  Played in Galveston for Mardi Gras.

I could hear the cowbell from here!!

Yea, ever since that show they started using that thing more as a joke.  Reminds me of a story I read about a concert that Bob Dillon did and the next day the paper said that the only song he performed well on was Brass Bed.  So after that he made sure he sung it poorly.

P.S.  BOC likes to mess with the media. When they are being interviewed by someone who knows nothing about them they will come off as being serious but in reality they are poking fun at the interviewer.  It can be real funny reading some of the articles when most people don't get the joke.

Anyway, back on topic.

I'd be kind of interesting to hear Korn acoustically.  Never been much of a fan but I'd like to give it a listen to.

One of the first Unplugged shows MTV did was Stevie Ray Vaughan/Joe Satriani.  Stevie tore up that 12 string like it was a Strat.  Unfreakingbelievable.
