The best thing about Ann imo is that her shots and quips almost always seem to hit a sore spot (admitedly big targets) on the bleeding hearts. WTG Ann :aok

“C’mon, it was a joke. I would never insult gays by suggesting that they are like John Edwards. That would be mean.”
 :rofl

(An aside--havent heard much about Edward's campaign staffers/bloggers insulting Catholics...wonder why...

Quote
Days after Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards decided against firing two liberal bloggers with a history of inflammatory writing, one resigned last night with a blast at "right wing shills" for driving her out of the campaign.
--That can easily be taken to presume Edwards concurrs with their views:

Quote
Among other things, Marcotte had written: "The Catholic church is not about to let something like compassion for girls get in the way of using the state as an instrument to force women to bear more tithing Catholics." She also questioned, in explicit language, what would have happened if the Virgin Mary had taken the emergency contraceptive called Plan B.

Last month, Marcotte wrote of the Duke University rape case: "Can't a few white boys sexually assault a black woman anymore without people getting all wound up about it? So unfair."

McEwan, whose status with the Edwards campaign is apparently unchanged, has referred to President Bush's conservative Christian supporters as his "wingnut Christofascist base."

Not like Mr. Edwards would ever use a hot button word to stir up his audience.
Because, as a politician he is WAY above doing anything like that to get a vote.

I'm a conservative.

I can't stand to listen to political radio talk,on either side.

But I don't believe Mr.Edwards has any right to be annoyed at Ann for her remark...not after the smug little comment he made to Cheney during the debate.

Dems are all for freedom of speech, unless it's about speaking the truth.

Mr.Edwards is a smooth talking lawyer who made his $60 million fortune convincing juries that the doctors that delivered the babies caused birth defects.

Mr.Edwards is one of the reasons that your medical insurance costs so much.

That is about the most truthful statement I have ever seen on this board.
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"

LOL  I think that's a ridiculous statement, especially in light of the "free speech zones" that Bush employs during his speeches.
