Win2k or Voodo5 prob?
« on: December 31, 2000, 12:05:00 PM »
I have win2k and the voodo5500, pII 400, 128ram.  I recently downloaded the newest version of AH.  Everything works fine until i get in the plane to fly.  When the game goes from the hangar to the cockpit the graphics go crazy.  The cockpit and scenery start flashing rapidly.  The earlier version of AH worked fine.  I haven't changed any settings in Win2k.  I've tried every video configuration possible.  Anyone know a fix for my problem?

Thx,

Austex

I have not heard of this problem so far, and I have lots of buddies with the V5, myself included.  It may be a Win2k issue.  Do you have Direct X 8.0 installed and all the latest patches for Win2k?  Also be sure you have the very latest V5 drivers.

The only thing I can think of to try is this:  Under Setup and Flight adjust the "move speed" slider around, try it all the way up and all the way down.  This will change the speed at which you move from the hanger to the tower and to your plane.  It's worth a shot.

oh, and one more idea.  Try not launching from the hanger directly, but go to the Tower first, and THEN launch.

Hope this helps.

I didn't have the most recent drivers for the voodoo5500.  It works now.

Thanks,
