CH USB stuff

Okay, thanks to funkedup's setup files I've managed to get the pro throttle, fiterstick and pro pedal usb system working pretty well. It really flies different. Much better than non usb ch stuff. I've got one problem it seems. I can't get the throttle to fully accelerate. That, or the RPM setting is wrong. To that end, I cannot get any keyboard inputs to throttle or RPM settings to work through the keyboard. No - or = effects throttle setting and no keypad + - effects the RPM setting. How do I get AH to accept keyboard inputs as well as CH inputs? I've even programmed keys on my ch throttle to control RPM to no avail.

The stick/throttle/pedals are calibrated in AH, control manager and MS. The x, y and z axes go all the way from min to max. I'll takeoff in a p51 with 25% fuel and full throttle. I get 1000 rpm and 55 mp and it won't get off the ground by the end of the runway. This never happened before. I'd always be airborn well before end of the runway. The pitch/sound of the engine is lower than it is with my older ch stuff. I've even tried fooling the calibration so I can really max out the throttle and that doesn't help. And I can't really test it because it won't accept commands to control this stuff from the keyboard.

If you have RPM and throttle mapped to stick axes then AH won't let you use the key commands.

You should calibrate again in AH and make sure you push the throttle and RPM to their full limits.  Once you have done that you should check the "scope" in the setup/joystick menu to make sure the rpm and throttle traces are reaching maximum when you push them forward all the way.

thanks funked for the info. i finally figured out what was going on. the fiterstick throttle was interfering with the prothrottle. i wasn't sure how to calibrate both. once i turned the fiterstick throttle to zero the usb pro throttle took over and i got proper acceleration. i guess it;s a matter of how and when you calibrate.
