it's really not worth arguing over.

   thats why it's in "wishlist"
:)

But that's the unofficial way of the wishlist: One asks for something, than others (usually Krusty or me) will jump in and yell "That sucks" or "We don't need it!" or "That wasn't in WW2". Better get used to it. :D

No,there is a way realy.

Without radar at night, make the icons vanish "upto say 1.2k out"
Then make the icons slowly fade in, once at 800k from target.

Now,for the visual because people would use gamma and such.

make the models LOD that of a tiny dot, and make it stay like that till 1.0
Again, you would see a bunch of tiny dots, untill you got closer then you would see the name tag "start" to come into focus, then it would be at 1.0..by then youd ither have a shot,or none.

To people who arent cheating, it would be simple..fly to your target..earch till you see a icon,go to it..and sprey & prey till stuff dies.

  . 5k out  -o- 1.0k    ---0--- at  800k and closer.

"shrugs"

Yeah..in a perfect world this would work.

Remember it's very important that we argue why each and every
addition should not be.  I don't care if the next plane is the Supermarine
Walrus..I think any addition is a good thing.

And?

Mosquito NF.Mk 30 was 55mph faster (369mph for the Blackwidow vs 424mph for the Mosquito) and had radar on it too, as did the NF.Mk XIII, NF.Mk XIX and many FB.Mk VI's.

Onboard radar was hardly unique to the P-61.

Also, the range of WWII radar was short and it was hard to identify what was being looked at compared to ground based radar.

And the person telling you the info provided some nice, useful stuff we don't get in AH, like, say, heading, speed and, most important, altitude.
