"Tank Town" spawns way to close. So close you can camp other spawns from your own.
New Terrain = no cover for tanks coming into a town.
Tanks get stuck in the sand. Iv seen this happen a few times and had it happen to me once.
Lake in town looks just like new terrain.
Ever since new version one shot kills are alot more prolific.

Is it just me or is GVing more difficult?

This is not a whine I'm just stating the obvious.

Tank Town is a cheap thrill. No die-hard tanker should go there and take it seriously. It's as arcade as it comes in that square mile of the map. It's so much like Space Invaders in there you might as well download the Atari soundpack.

I think it's just a by-product of old map designs Larry. With each conversion of map through the versions for years and years, every map slowly gets worse and worse.

I only hope that those who know how to make maps, can come up with a new map using the full potential of the new terrain, and also perhaps fix some of the issues and problems with the old maps.

AHHH, maybe my memory is screwed up, but geez, I remember towing plenty of lvt's, and sometimes tanks outta quagmire. Tanks really get stuck from time to time with boot newb drivers. I dont think that is "unrealistic".

oh btw, when your stuck, your even a bigger,slower target. It behooves you not to do that again.

Iv seen people get stuck near sand but they were on green. If HTC made it so you get stuck in sand they should model a way to get unstuck other then .ef. Eskimo alot of people GV in AH and rolling over be driving over a birdge or getting to close to a gun isnt fun. Some people are going to blab out if it rolls you don't get near it. Thats not fixing it its avoiding it.

Actually, I think Skuzzy took a magic marker and changed rule 4 to "Blame Waffle".

btw tank town spawns haven't changed.... but we are looking at few issues in/around tank town.
