Is it finally the time for the return of some larger maps?

now numbers have ratcheted up to 900+ peak time, maybe it's tim we got some of the larger maps back, not neccesarily the very biggest ones, but just a few more thrown into the mix, the samller maps are starting to get bogged down due to over- crowding, but please don't bring them back wit the annoying blue line thing, just keep the same structure as used currently.  i do miss those big old mammoth maps like donut,

any thoughts?
would be cool to hear from someone from HTC on this issue

I'd like to see a arena where only peeps with a good enough score could get into. With something like this you could get top notch pilots and gvers to battle it out. An "elite war arena" if you will. And the maps could stay small.

Rank and score is a rather poor if not outright illusionary method of saying who the "top Notch" pilots are as some of the true top notch pilots often have their rank in the thousands

Top score doesn't necessarily translate into "top notch pilot"...

Good idea except I would change one word.
Instead of "Elite War Arena"

Thats what the MA's are like on the weekends.  Little skill involved.  Almost a 100% crapshoot.

When you pack that many into such small maps balanced front lines would be 100 vs 100.  We now usually have only 3-4 bases along the front lines so, conservatively and if balanced, each fight should be 25 vs 25.  Now, go fly into a 25 vs 25 and see if you can use your skills.  Probably for a few minutes.  Even if you're the best in the game at SA and ACM some lucky soul is going to get a shot on you.  If you're lucky you can get out and land once in a while.

Some will say... others have good scores... I can only surmise that they don't fly on weekends, they cherry-pick, they vulch or they remain in the safety of their hoards.

This has become much more like an arcade shoot-em-up game than an air combat game.

Just my 2c and no, I'm not going anywhere.

[EDIT]  There used to sometimes be only 400-500 in the big maps when there was only 1 MA.

I think that's a great idea.
