 I used to have one of those Western Field shotguns too when I was just getting old enough to be interested in really hunting. It's been a while since I have seen one of those twist adjustable chokes.

you know thats a really good dependible shotgun...breaks down nice and easy too:)..my grampa got it a long time ago at the old western store chain..he passed on 8 years ago..and i been taking it out skeet shooting lately..it still nails them good:)...plus its allmost like brand new..my grampa really didnt take it out much

You have a need for a gun in your country... you just are too womanly to admit it.  

Has your house ever burned down?  have you ever been in a wreck?  been in one where a seatbelt would have saved you?  if not why do you have insurance and wear seatbelts?   are you just paranoid?  the fire department will not let your house burn.

Most of you who pretend you need no gun are simply not thinking it through or... lacking moral courage.... you are justifying.   Possibly you have a deep seated prejudice against the U.S. that makes you take your governments side and... oddly... justify them taking away your rights.

As I said... I don't really have any need for you to be around me.. there is no comfort in your hollow justifications...  I do feel the need to have some of my fellow citizens armed tho.  

I thank those of you who have the moral courage to go armed...

I carry a Glock 20 10mm. Great gun at decent price. My favorite thing about it is that it has never jammed on me. I keep mine loaded with CorBon bonded core soft point ammo. Definately has more stopping power than your standard 9mm rounds.

It would be great to be able to live in a country where it's possible to enjoy the freedom of being able to go out unarmed, without fear of being mugged or shot. Believe it or not, such countries DO exist. The US is not one of them tho.

Really? I guess I have been spectacularly lucky then as I haven't carried but once or twice since I retired in 94. I've been in 32 different states in the last 3 years alone and haven't had a single problem being safe from muggings and assaults.

If you are really that afraid, either you are in a very very bad neighborhood or are really paranoid. If it's not a poor choice of neighborhood then maybe you ought to try and relax more.
