Exchange of everyday screenshots anyone?
« Reply #225 on: November 26, 2007, 09:51:55 AM »
This cracked me up, so I had to post some screenies.

Came across a lone B-17

Had some success there, its wing came straight off, so I repeated the attack on another set of B-17s with a less satisfactory result

Not be deterred I pressed the attack:

I got an assist on the last drone but claimed the first two.

3 B-17s down and good fun!

:rofl

Hi,

This is hardly belivable - landing with a half of wing :)
Especially in 190 :)

With 190/P47 is possible, with 109/yak is very very hard.  Yesterday I landed easily Ki 84 with a half of wing.

It's all in the trim.

Get the aileron and rudder trim right and it's not too tricky.

The 109 is actually very docile when trimmed correctly.

Even the loss of the left wing isn't anything to panic about. One needs to be careful when increasing power, though, as that torque will roll  you right out of the sky.

The 190 A5 is difficult but not impossible. The Dora is harder still, I'm not sure I've got back in a Dora with a wing missing.

190's actually the easiest.

I flew my baby about a sector and a half on 1 1/2 wings to land her.

Try it with the left wing, it's a bit harder.

With the right wing clipped the engine torque cancels out the loss in lift a little bit.

Not to detract from your efforts at all though, mate.

Nice job
