First landed ace sortie (that wasnt vulching) in recent memory. Ended up 2v1 with a Spixteen and a Niki at the end with gondolas on my 109G2.
Kill #1 with VonMessa in a Dora in the background

Kill#2, a Typhoon... Why he went vertical, Ill never know.

Kill#3... Proxy on a Twin-Tailed devil that augered avoiding my pass...

Kill#4... Niki that had just got VonMessa's last remaining fuel tank, forcing him to ditch.

Spixteen 200 yards on my six. At this point Im saying, "Oh well, four in the bag, no big deal." I have accepted the fact that I will die.

No wai! Got him to overshoot, lost him in my frames and missed the super-easy deflection shot, then we made a couple head on I MEAN high-deflection front quarter passes on eachother, and eventually he rammed me, though I took no damage.

Touchdown! Perfect 3-point landing. I thought it was pretty ironic that I chose this skin, as it has an Ace of Diamonds on the side...

Five more in the bag for JG11!

Next sortie... took the stabilizer off a P38 that was trailing Von...

Then lit up an ack-hugging Hellcat

Of course I accidentally pressed enter 3x on RTB... :lol  I logged after that.

Merry Christmas, mate.

I have realised that I am very average with the .50 cal on Allied aircraft.

Little F4U-4 run from a carrier tonight:

Thank you, Mobius.

I have a HP dual core 2.6 gig processor with 2 gig of ram and a Nvidea 8500GT video card with 512mb of dedicated ram.

I run AH at full res with the Hi Res texture pack on a 22" Samsung monitor which leaves me with a fairly constant FR of 60 FPS.

It drops below that sometimes in big fights on the deck but my old system was doing well to be running 28FPS at 30k with 1 con in icon range, so it's a significant improvement from what I am used to.

The whole rig cost me just over $2000 AUD including the Samsung monitor, so it wasn't too savage on the wallet.

It's certainly not the greatest system in the world but it performs the task it was bought for well enough.

As a side note, I am running AH with Windows Vista with nothing disabled at all, so I'm sure I could improve the FR if I desired to do so. It IS possible to run Vista and still have a decent gaming rig too (which is something I was very weary of), so all those out there who fear Vista (as I did), don't be too worried about it... it seems to be fine at my end.

Looks too low to be an offline kill.

I have noticed that the Spit's 20mms will often shoot the wings off aircraft at the wing roots if the convergence is set a little too far out.

Definitely offline kill. Look at the bank angle on it and the B-24, and the distance to both. Not to mention the film viewer allows you to zoom and position your camera so it looks like you're lower to the ground at times.
