How to wreck a 38 and still walk away...
« on: May 12, 2007, 12:26:02 AM »
I am an expert in this area but this one tonite was a bit of fun.  In the furball over TT and got clobbered.  Somehow managed to limp away smoking and bleeding.  Outbound single engine on the deck hoping to land at the VH before I bleed to death.  Spit 8 comes racing in to finish me.  Got him to overshoot, and shot him to bits.  Another guy augered trying to finish off my wreck at the same time.  Went from 3-5 kills while mostly blacked out :)

Blacked out as I tried to land it at the VH but bounced, bent the props and rolled to a stop for the ditch.  Not sure my crew chief can fix this one :)

I've said it before, I'll say it again, the old girl can take a beating...

And lets see you beat this one Danny Boy...

Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.

Can anybody join this party? This one I took a while back 'bout a month or two.

Note the one engine was dead and the other was losing oil. I think I dinged the prop on landing, but was on 1 engine anyways!

I don't have screens of it, but I brought an F4U in without elevators once. Even stuck it on concrete. ;)

WOULD have done it once more, but I came to a stop on the big pad right as the full payload of a Lanc formation overshot the FHs. :p
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.
