A bit off track
« Reply #135 on: May 25, 2007, 09:52:07 AM »
The purpose of this post was not just the "cussing", but in fact the discussions about sex, body parts etc.  This level of discussion experienced on our BOPS channel is dangerous with young kids online.  Not all players are BOPS members that sit on our squad channel, i.e. BopBoy.

Again, I request that the leadership of this squad set the example and clean it up.

By the way, although this post received quite a bit of ridicule, I have noticed its positive effect over the past week.  We'll see how BOPS leadership handles it this holiday weekend and our squad night.

hey benny, i think you know my little, if at all, use of profanity online. I was certainly not of the attitude 'kids will hear it anyway so no morals are needed by anyone'.

YES they are going to hear it anyway, NO not from me, and YES at the end of the day kids need to learn.

we all did.

Well for one thing... It isn't "Your" squad night, it's "Ours" and you definately aren't one of our squaddies!  We don't wanna clean up to suit your eavsdropping on our channel.  In fact, it we know that you are on we'll make it most undesirable to your wittle bittie ears.

All the Best...

AWDOC?

To think that this game's simulation is set during a time in American History where sacrifices were made,  the needs of the greater good prevailed,  where individualism took a back seat in favor of what was just and good for all....  where the Americans at that time are known as "The Greatest Generation".

How do our older folk (some WW2 vets) feel about this behavior?  I guess there is no need to ask that question.

xBishsquaddie, time to climb down off that high horse bro!

First off this is a game !!!! not a group of well trained honorable people working together for a common goal.

Second, yes language is a problem at times, I keep it clean because I want to. I'm sure you keep it clean because you want to. Dictating what others should do is not your place, nor is it mine. You can only suggest.

My suggestion, is let it go. You had your say with your suggestion. If things aren't "cleaned up" to your satisfaction, go fly someplace else.

If you don't want your kids to hear whats being said, wear headphones. As for other kids playing, if their parents aren't supervising them with the game, it may already be to late for them.

The solution is rather simple, if you don't like what you're hearing, switch channels.  No one is forcing you to listen on the BoP channel.  Get off your sanctimonious high horse and switch the channel.  You're not even in their squadron and you're obviously posting on a shades account becauase you don't have the balls to show who you really are.

sheesh, twits these days.

I've served my time and that is not the point and neither is the sacrafices that my relatives and many others gave to give us this freedom to express ourselves and the greater good is for our country and not for your benefit.  If you were actually one of our squaddies or even a has been or wanna-be squaddie, you would have posted your concerns on our website in our message bases and not here.  Your perspective is the needs of the few outweigh the needs of the many and stinks of true liberalism and I am not a suscriber to that one!  You are provided choices and you choose to listen to our banter and we should not, want not, and will not conform to your form of decency on our private channels.  I don't care who you are, who you know, or who think will actually submit to your silly, immature, and silly rantings.  And as far as your question about our "older folk", I have my AARP card and the question is do you?

You really need to come out of the closet and be seen for who you actually are or continue to be a silly little girlyman and just should be ignored.  The choice is yours as I'm not and I seriously don't believe that any of my squaddies are going to change their attitudes or behavior in the game because you wet your pants and wanted to cry in these forums.

All the Best to those who are putting up with your drivel...

Doc, I thought I knew you, I was wrong.

Condoning such behavior while youngsters on the channel really surprises me.  As stated early on, this is a top-down problem.  If the squad leader(s) don't set the precedent, then this problem will linger.  In the meantime, I have been off channel and will be resigning from the squad.

another example of the few making rules for many!!!

you all may have heard about a school actually considering baning the book "Farenheit 451" because ONE parent didn,t want his daughter reading it.

HE considered it "dangerous"

the idiots on that school board are actually considering banning it!!!

and now of course, the empowered whiner is demanding that other books HE deems inappropriate be banned also!!!

my advice to you " XBishsquadie 06 " is to get lost!!!

you seem to be the only one creating a stir about something that you can easily solve yourself.

don,t tune to that channel!!!

i can,t recall any squeekers being on that channel either!!

go away kid, ya bother me,
