Ummm not true at all. I tracked that Niki for awhile fast otd in lag pursuit. When he began turning I went lead pusuit so was nose high as Corky's first pic indicates. At that point Corky was below my nose. I had no clue he was there until I heard him firing. We were more or less stacked vertically in the exact same trailing position. I am sure Corky has reviewed the film and from my perspective and confirmed I could not see him...

By the way it was no cherry pick, that Niki had a ton of smash and was trying to run. It was a pure run down situation, I found him while I was RTB'ing and my goal was to get him turning or kill him...

Normally I do, but it was like 1 am and I was not running at full power...It could have just as easily been Corky out front when we were overlapped and I would have KS myself...Definately never a situation I want to put myself in on purpose on either side of the coin.

A question. Did both of you get the hit/collide message?

I'd flipped on the film  viewer because it was a N1K and screenshots of a Pacific marked 38, shooting down a Japanese bird look good.

It was no one's fault as there were a lot of planes in that mess.  I just thought it a a nice chance to show how it can happen  in the middle of a fight when no one is doing anything wrong.

It was actually quite funny to hit the gun button, wonder what the heck was wrong with my screen, figure out it was a plane going through my cockpit and have my flaps fall off :)

This actually happened to me before with Wetrat a few years back, I posted it on the BBS. We were actually both in the exact same spot, completely overlapped. From no view could you see the other plane. As soon as I pulled the trigger I was dead.

the kill shooter thing actually save my butt today...i was outnumbered in my 190, and got a yak and an la7 on my six. i dove and flatlined wide open across the water...the yak and la were 800 out blazing away (not very good shots though) when i suddenly see the tail of the la fly off and watch it spin up into the air.  i was able to hold off the yak till help arrived though lol:D

Yup, he nabbed 3 from me in one flight the other night. He was in a Tempest then too.

Watch from up high and swoop down guns blazing just as you finally saddle up from a hard-fought knife fight, then act totally clueless as everyone in the area is screaming at you to stop stealing their kills. Thats Zazen to a "T".
Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.

actually if friendly collides were on, he wouldn't have to worry about killshooter being off - the collide would have killed one of them 1st :)

Wow, sucks to be you I guess...I have no clue who you are, but if a skill-less, talent-less, picker, like myself can fleece 3 kills you've claimed as your own in one hop perhaps you have some greater issues. In today's AH of horde wars and survival of the many, killing quickly is paramount. Obviously, if you and some dude are isolated on the deck in a tight fisted circle jerk that's one thing and perhaps somewhat sacred from intervention. But, if you've selected one con out of several/many in a horde vs. horde area you had better kick his bellybutton right quick, or someone faster at killing, in a good position, with good timing is going to do it for ya.

I personally don't like any con's behind me, above me, or in my path of egress, so if someone is obviously not taking care of business in a timely fashion, holding up my progress, I will "help" him move on . ;) I've had way too many experiences in my many years of this of leaving a friendly with his chewtoy in a furball, only to have his toy kill him and end up on my 6 after I have engaged someone up the line. I didn't get to be the lame, skill-less, tard, dweeb I am by leaving much to chance or by being overly trusting of another's ability to finish the job...Especially in complex engagements where time is of the essence..

I have never, once, ever in my 17 years of this complained at someone killing a plane I was on. If someone can kill him faster, mores the better, there's plenty more where he came from, I'll just save my ammo and E for the next poor bastard. That next poor bastard may even be the same poor bastard as he'll be up in a few seconds looking for some payback...This really just trains people to not play with their food, in effect becoming finely tuned and efficient killing machines, which is what being a truly good furballer requires. If you want an environment where you can twist and turn and play with your food all day, a fast paced LW MA horde bang fest with 400+ people is probably not the right place for you...Just some friendly advice ;)

Have A Nice Day!

I don't recall hearing his engines specifically as there were lots of cons in the area, but I don't pull off a con I have a dead bead on just because I hear a motor nearby. If I think/know I'm in front I'm going to press the attack. There is hardly an Lgay7 driver out there that won't line up behind ya for an over-the-shoulder spray job on a con you're on.
