You HTC guys know it, and used to love it (I think), and could definately do a heap of a better job than whats currently offered. I long to be in in the seat of an Se5A, or Albatross , or DVa again. Can you build it ? I think you can . :)

I kinda liked the SPAD XIII or the Bristol Fighter myself....
A separate game, for the "Knights of the air" types, would be really cool...
But damn, the Albatross was a SWEET LOOKING crate....

I KNOW he can build it. The question is will enough people pay for the privilege of flying it to make it worthwhile.

I another universe far far away, there used to be quite a following untill "the man"....er..."fixed" things with a new version, and killed the old. Which killed it off. I know I'd split my time there even if it cost me a few beers a month.

Yeah man, a stupid Marconi set wouldn't fit in an airplane....
Neither would parachutes, or self sealing fuel tanks.... LOL!!!
They were REAL AIRMEN....
Nothing like flying, with a full gas tank under your seat....
And nothing between you and Perdition, except your own wit's

now here is an airplane that everyone could consider. A Dorier Do-335 A late war airpane the plane had an engine in the back and in the front if the germans built it, it would have been the fastes prop-driven aircarft. the only reson they did not persue this project was because they had the jet- powerd airplane and it would be obsolete here are some pictures for you guys to feast your eyes on

the nickname of this airplane was called the "Pheil" or "Arrow" in America
hows that for a plane :aok

Ehmmm.. you might check your sources again. There was no" if".
This project was pursued, the Do 335 was built, and just delayed because it's factory was destroyed.

they acually had 5 in flight before the war ended i think 3 night fighters and 2 day fighters. I just read an article about them on wikapedia and they say that the germans said that it was a great plane easy to turn and the speed was incredible. they also said that the first dogfight it had was between 4 tempast and he saw them turned around and took off and the tempast could never catch it.

The Dornier Arrow actually saw combat??? Yes it did!!!! It wasn't for very long, a matter of weeks.. Had major problems wth propellers.... Just like all the late war German super planes..... Uhu, TA 152, etc....The props were made of laminated wood, instead of aluminum... They self destructed VERY OFTEN....

When tested, (after repairs) in the US after the war... It was the fastest prop plane that ever flew....
