To General Balo,
Instead of whining on this board about the response you are getting on your recruiting, sign up for the free trail & show us your leadership abilities & fighter prowess. I look forward to seeing you! Just dont fly Knight, k? LOL

Think of it whatever you want Hristo.  It concerns me none.

Id just like to make the point about  gunners in AW and why its a better game, in AW if a position is unmanned AI doesnt man it...makes it harder for buffs, and id just like to say Aw Fr is more challenging than WB....also my squad is RR but i fly FR almost everyday (or have been trying to regain my still in Miss M). As for thinking that i will be top....i dont but i will be in the top 10 i know, and correct me if im wrong but in WB depots/factories and other strategic targets dont play an important part or cant be captured or something to that effect? Well if thats true Aw is a much more realistic game, for instance each country has a spitfire factory which can be destoryed/captured by another team meaning you will only have the spit mk 5 to fly instead of the mk 9. (course that doesnt effect me) also theres oil refinerys ammo facs etc etc etc all which can be captured if you capture a fac or depot from the enemy he cant resupply his base (just like in real life) So if WW2 incorperates any strategic elements like i just stated im sure that i will be on top as far as ordering what needs to be attacked/taken. If this strategic system isnt in place in WB im sure i will be very near the top. Since there will be strategic elements in WW2.....as far as my flying skills....im not the best, im most likely not even in the top 10 for an overall pilot but i can hold my own and im sure ill do just fine. As far as having such a large unit name, its Aw what can i say? there was a squad USA before, AW has been around more than 10years and ive been around just a little over half that time. Im not convinced that WB 1) is any harder (in FR) than AW3 course i havent flown in at least a year or so. and 2) that WB pilots are any better than AW3 pilots, im sure that almost any WB pilot could beat me if i flew in WB but im also sure that i could beat almost any WB pilot that tryed out AW3. The fact still remains, 8TH USAAF will stay (unless i create 3rd army) and i dont think staff will get involved with soemthing as silly as a unit name. And furthermore i havent heard anything from AW units about their objections, it seems to me only WB units have voiced their distaste, and since i know basicly nothing about WB except some squads (4th fighter group is the one i know is one of the bigger and better of the units). With that in mind i really could care less what the WB community thinks of me, my skills, or my unit. Frankly i could say that WB pilots are worthless, like some peolpe have stated about my skills but i wont because i dont know if thats true or not, and thats because i havent flown against them or with them for a while. And as i stated before WB pilots will suck as will Aces High AW and any other pilots from another flight sim because WW2 will be nothing like any of them, in flight models damage and many other factors. So some ace in WB will be a newbie just like the rest of us when open beta starts furthermore crapy pilots in any of the flight sims could become aces and aces could become crapy pilots in WW2 anything is possible.

Regards,

BALO you have been challenged.  Bring your entire 8th into Aces High for 2 weeks.  It's not like we're asking you to pay since you get a 2 week free trial.  Like weazel said, take 13 days to get your squad familiar w/ the physics and flight models and develop your tactics.  Then take on JG2 (can I be an honorary member of JG2 for this one?  I'll even fly LW iron for it   )
You really think you can get a bomber force through?  I can tell you from experience that very few, if any, of your buffs will make it to the target.  And I think I can safely say I'm one of the best buff drivers 'round these parts.  I've lead many a large formation in me time here and JG2, when in force, is very scary indeed.  There are several other squadrons that fall into this catagorey also.

AW is a joke compared to AH.  Actually, there is no comparison.  AW is better compared to FA/FAII.

You're being called out.  Put up or shut up.  I'm treating this like you're serious (even though a think it's a troll).  You want some respect?  Strap in and earn it.  13 days to practice online, then 1 day to keel us all.  You can even start practicing offline to get used to the flight model and physics.

You refuse to accept this challenge and it shows everyone here (and other boards will get links to this thread I'm sure) that you're a coward who has nothing better to do than insult the memories of the real Mighty 8th (and that this was just a troll).
What have you got to loose if you're as skilled as you claim?  The 2 weeks are free, so there's no cost to you.

Hey BALO,  go to Fighter Ace and spread the word. They have more legends in their own minds than you can shake a stick at. You'd feel right at home.

Genius! I especially love the hypocrasy of stating that AW is harder, yet saying he won't judge the caliber of WB pilot's because he "doesn't know".

Wall of text and misdirection. If you can't beat 'em, confuse 'em.

Go Balo, Go!

In reply to Caveman,

Only one condition that I will do this and that is only if YOU and I go to HEAD to HEAD.  You can have your people sit on the ground but I dont want to join for 2 weeks.  I downloaded your AH and am MORE than willing to fly H2H against you. Please let me know.

Interesting how he won't give out his URL to his homepage.

I don't believe he has one.

I believe the man is also branded for life in every future flight sim that comes out.

Balo, heres 2 clues from an old timer, 1. Change your name, and 2. CaveJ will disect you so don't humiliate yourself.

sure Balo, I'll take ya on H2H.  I'm sure there are plenty of pilots around here who will, just to see what ya got (cause I'm far from the best fighter stick in AH   )

But what about your vaunted leadership?  How can see that from an H2H fight?  That would require a squad duel.

And why not sign up for 2 weeks?  It's totally free.  Not like you got anything to loose (cept maybe your virtual arse in the virtual skies   )

I do not have my site for the 8th because I am working on a new one.  Here is the site for my 3rd Army unit.  If you wish to join please let me know. There are still positions.
