I have the micro stick on my CH throttle set up for views and a 4 way switch on my flight stick set up with dedicated rear views cause sometimes its easier.  I don't have to use keyboard very often but I still do.

For my next project I'm considering a Lightweight (maybe aluminum) tube frame Cockpit to mount everything in. Of course it will have to be cut into sections and spliced together with some quick connects for dismantling and moving. I run a toolshop and I know a very good welder.

P.S. Jaxxo my range vox button is the great BIG one on the throttle for easy access:p

If it takes full power to taxi to the hanger, your gear is probably up.

I use my mouse for elevator, aileron, throttle and gun control. I use my keyboard for everything else.

I use my joystick for al normal flight controls except things like flaps, trim, zoom and landing gears.

So basically I move around and look with the stick but do all adjustments with keyboard.

Once in combat, i reach over with my left hand, and use the num pad.

SkyCrock, you noob! Get a X52 already! I only use keyboard for bomb runs and vox. If I weren't so lazy, I'd program this thing for that too.

I do.  I have always used my keyboard number pad for views and have tried using hat, but old habits are hard to break.  This means I have to loose sight of opponent to raise lower flaps or trim.  I relly feel I get better views using the number pad though.  Your thoughts?:)
I use the number pad as well.

Maybe YOU should move into the 21st century. Using clumsy joystick hat switches IS just like using rotary dials and not much better than using the keyboard :D

Seriously, I can't even fly & fight using hatviews. I don't even have them mapped anymore. When I lose my TIR tracking for any reason (happens rarely), I immediately RTB (and use the keyboard during it) and relog.

HOTAS for everything except text radio, engine (e) and gear (g).   Some functions you just don't want to hit in combat by accident! :D

I need to update my TIR software and give it another try - it didn't work well for me when I last tried -  but that was in that game that abbreviates to 6 letters.

I use keypad, seeing I don't use a very good joystick, just can't seem to use the HAT button and fly LOL
