Who uses their keyboard for views and flight controls?
I do.  I have always used my keyboard number pad for views and have tried using hat, but old habits are hard to break.  This means I have to loose sight of opponent to raise lower flaps or trim.  I relly feel I get better views using the number pad though.  Your thoughts?:)

Hat mapped to same things as numpad. In heat of battle will use hat on stick, but otherwise often use numpad. To me they're interchangable. Also have a button on my stick (which has limited buttons!) devoted to "up" view, so I can always have 8-way hat and 8-way+UP at any moment I need.

Q and W for flaps, numpad to look around, P for wep.  Throttle's on the left side of the base of my CH stick though.

I use my keyboard for views outside. But only because my thumb doesn't reach all the way up to the chinaman's hat. I need to find a kiddie size joystick.

I have hat veiws(not all but most), but will 90% of time use key pad. Like Krusty said, I only use my hat when I'm to busy to have both hands away from the stick.

Only commands I use my keyboard for are the Shift F1-F4 clutter views, autopilot commands, and the normal number keys to change aircraft/vehicle stations.

Everything else is mapped between my throttle and joystick.

I use num pad for views but have flaps, zoom toggle and of course firing buttons mapped to my stick.  Other than that it's the keyboard.

I have an X-52, so I have my reg. hat switch set to views and my 2nd hat switch set to (UP and DOWN set to flaps) (LEFT and RIGHT is clear atm).

I have full CH Pro gear, I have more toggles, buttons and switches than a dog has fleas. I don't use the keyboard for anything but chatting. People ask what key does what, I have no clue, they are all mapped to various buttons on my gear. ;)

ive tried to set my X52 up to do most of the stuff.....I have my Esc. and click buttons set to it, but I never use them.

Tried the hat switch for views on my cheapie Thrustmaster Fox2 Pro, went back to keyboard. Wife bought me an X52. Tried using a couple setups for views. Tried getting used to X52 altogether. No go. Although Saitek makes great game gear, they seem to overlook short fingers, even after adjustments.

I went back to Thrustmaster, and back to the keypad for views.
