BZZZZZ WRONG try again. THe "Iron Cross" on the sides and wings on german aircraft are GERMAN markings, as they were in WWI, WWII and up till today. The nazi symbol is swastika not the iron cross, get that right. Your squad name is like having the SS symbol in your avatar.

(they just wont put up with it and will make you go bye bye if you dont follow thier rules)

Here is a rule from the skinners thread made by Skuzzy

Some basic guidlines:

We will not accept skins containing the swastiska. NOTE: If you are making a skin that originally had a swastiska, just leave the spot blank where the swastiska would have been, or change the swatiska to the Iron Cross. Use your best judgement on this.

We will not accept skins that alter the overall shape of the object.

We will only accept skins that were historically used in World War II.

Only submit the files/skins you actually change from the original.

The text description file must be named by the object name, such as p51d.txt for a P51D skin, for example.

Yes there is, and there hasn't been any in this thread. I do however think that if Biggles catches any of you in the air there will be flaming (wreckage).

Listen you guys have obviously struck a nerve here. Just go with a normal JG squad name, it sounds much more proffesional than a Nazi propaganda slogan. Hell I even have noseart from one of my old squads that I made for "II/JG77 Blackwulf" JG77 was a real squadron however the Blackwulf part is fictional. I was saving it for possible reactivation down the line. If you guys wanna take that one you can, and have the nose art too. Have a bit of respect.

If you see in my post there is no flaming, slander or bashing. The post, in it's brief description is meant for education as it appears you needed a history lesson.

You state you were aware of the meaning of the squad name, but i don't think you truly did. I hope by now you do.

If you are not a nazi and not a skinhead, why on earth would you line yourself with blut und ehre. I know they are "just" words, but i can think of a number of other "just" words that give similair reactions.

A squad name in this game/hobbie should not be associated in any way shape or form involving racism.

Your apology is a start and a name change would show the apology is real.

I noticed this squad is still here.

"Blut und Ehre" ( Blood and Honour) was the motto of the Nazi youth organization Hitler-Jugend (Hitler Youth).

It has since been used by various neo-nazi groups.

You better change your squad name cuz they said so BUDDY!!!!!!!And thats an ORDER!!!!!!!

I could care less about a squad name really, it's all fun & games in the end, but if a wittle ol name is gonna get all thier panties in that big of a bunch, then i say go on with it.Matter of fact you should put in CAPS so they can see it better.

It's not like swoop is goin out doin Nazi Stuff or giving speeches or spreading HATE(like everyone else in this thread has done) throughout the LAND.It's just a some words guys.

thought swastika wasnt allowed in game due to german law? Not because of what you guys are making it out as. Its a name, its a game...doesnt mean they are nazis in anyway shape or form, or that that they support what happened. Blood and Honor....because somebody puts those words together means they are, or support, nazis? get a life. worry about global warming, aids, terrorist attacks...real life stuff. to get your panties in a wad over this is rediculous.

We can use american squad names, thats fine? suppose there should be some japanese people jumping on the bbs here and flipping out over using those? rediculous.

I huh....well...I served in the Navy...I'ma veteran...and I think I gave myself the right to be an armchair general.

If that name is what you decide to keep , then the target you MAY aquire on your backs will be a tough road in this game I would think. Could be wrong tho. I mean there are some "Different" folks in this game I assure you.

Oh...and 1 last thing....Your squad? Yeah....if you want to put your best 5 or 6 agaisnt my best 5 or 6 in the DA....I'm sure we could arrange that just so you understand that your mouth may be writing checks your butt cant cash. (Always wanted to say that)

Where i come from your word is the truth. If you want to hide behind the internet that is fine. It is your choice. You can live your life the way you want and live a facade here. Again it is your 15 bucks right?

In my life here or REAL words do matter. And Platano i don't pretend to be something i'm not.

Worry about global warming give me a break. Aids and Terrorism you got something there.

I truly believe if you believe in the lord and do right by him all else fits and that is my 15 bucks worth agree or disagree so be it, i can live with myself.

One thing i might add is why this country is so great. We can have debates like these, not worry about reprocussion on what ideas we may have and discuss openly, no matter how important or insignificant they are.
