Wow

California is sending the world a message.

While OJ spends his time hunting for his wife's killer, one golf course at a time...the fine legal system there found him not guilty.

This Phil Spector freak is on trial for murder and hasnt spent an hour in jail.  Just a quick in and out booking.

But boy, they'll (rightfully) throw the book at this high dollar waif.

Her "psychological" condition is called "Spoiled little bratt."

I doubt she'll be there by time the weekend is thru.

But hearing and seeing her tantrum....sorry, that was priceless.

Yep, she should have received the death penalty or at least life without parole.

She should get what anybody else would get & that's jail. At least around here in my neck of the woods it would be; of course around here they'd take her money instead of locking her up but I'm referring to the "anybody else" part.

My buddy just got sentenced to 6 months for his drunk driving probation violation....she should get down on her rich little knees & thank god they went easy on her & she only got 45 stinkin' days...of which she'll only do half as was mentioned by another poster earlier in the thread.

She should be treated no better or worse because of her social or financial status. The way I see it as she got of light but justice is served...now o.j. simpson; there was an example of someones race & money letting them get away with murder....literally.

Does she DESERVE to do the time? Hell yes. But if she looked like Roseanne Barr, and drove an old Ford Escort, she'd have gotten 3 more free pases at least.

And like I said, you're so busy jumping up and down over her getting her comeuppance that you ignore things that are a lot worse.

I know for a fact that people in my State have been sentenced to at least six month in a Medium Prison for doing far less then what she did.

Virgil, I beg to differ. While each case varies from state to state and judge to judge, overall she has recieved preferential treatment most in her situation would not have enjoyed in Tarrant County, Texas. DWI 1st is occasionally pled down to reckless driving or obstruction of a motorway if you have a good attorney and a fat checkbook. Probation violation are taken very seriously. Usually those carry a 6 month sentence in addition to revocation and reinstatement of the original sentence. Most times those will run concurrent. Here they like to use work detail as an alternative to jailtime in probation violations for driving while suspended. It pays 3 to 1 but they make you sweat as a reminder not to do it again. From what I've seen women are given fairly equal treatment in this area. Since MADD entered the scene there aren't many "free passes" around here.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.
